I think against certain teams that play physical, LO should start over Pau. He is balling and isn't afraid to get physical. |

Seriously though. I forget who put TP on his ass back in 2003 (?) that turned the series after an 0-2 hole. Same scenario different year. Put players on their ass and watch them tiptoe through the lane. Or sit on the sideline with an icepack/wrap the rest of the game as a spectator. |
It was Payton in the 2004 playoffs. |

I disagree, he has the desire and talent. Your judging a pretty raw player in terms of experience. Odom's laid tons of eggs on the Lakers, it's taken him this long to be able to finally "get it." Bynum's only 22 and has shown to have a fast learning curve. Experience is the remaining predominant ingredient, it will have to be cultivated, just like for LO, only it won't take as long as it did for LO because until the championship defeat against Boston in 08, LO was just out there lolly gagging. |

If Bynum contributed nothing else in the game, I'm proud of him for that. |
The problem with Bynum is he consistently doesn't step up in big games.
Other than the game at Boston this year, I cannot remember another time he played well against a good team.
They need him to start making strides, he is paid too much to be a bit player. |
I don't know what ppl expect of Andrew
min 26.1--FG 3-7..FT 7-11...BLK 1...PF 3...REB 6...PT 6... That's not a bad game IMO |
The thing with Bynum is if he doesn't get touches his involvment in the game just disappears. Thats one area he is different from Pau, Pau will go on playing, getting the boards anf whatever comes his way. Bynum needs to learn to play off the ball!! |
Exactly. People are blind to see that Bynum for the majority on the post looks for his own period. |
he was passing out of double teams. when he attacked, he was inside.
sure, there were some shots that he should have made, but you can say that about pau and even ronron. why do you think phil pulled pau out of the game in the 4th? pau didn't keep playing. he let nene bully him for a lot of the game. fortunately, he started playing like a man and attacked the basket. |
He pulled him in the 4th because he needed a rest. He played basically the whole 3rd quarter and then some in the 4th. Bynum was fresh as a whistle.
Gasol 36 minutes, Bynum 22. yeah. |

^That was a weird time to pull Gasol, especially when Gasol has played in a similar rotation/minutes for the entire year... I think Jackson hit it on the head when he said Phil was trying to send Gasol a message. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Dos anyone here know why carmello keeps laughing at the lakers? Is it because he thinks all the calls we get are bogus or something? And I've watched the thuggets play other teams, they seem to be overly physical with us, why would they consider us soft when we have like 2 legit 7 footers and artest? Sometimes its like they don't even care about winning, just knocking us down. |

He's an emotional frontrunner like Webber was. Yukkin it up when his team is ahead, pouty frown when they're down and when he F's up (e.g. the Ariza steal). _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

Exactly. I gotta respect the dude's game. He has the footwork and repertoire that Lebron doesn't have yet.
And I'm pretty sure Melo was laughing because Ron's outstanding D was bringing out the competitive nature in him...and there's nothing wrong with smiling when you're excited on the court.. Nothing to see here.
J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin though I do think are true ass hats. |

carmelo isn't anywhere near the defender that kobe, lebron or dwade are. carmelo in my opinion is nothing but a scorer. george karl was trying to get him to get rebounds earlier this season. he is not even the leader of his team. carmelo had 8 turnovers when he isn't even the ball handler. i have seen way too many times that carmelo has lost his cool and cost his team the game and i am just not talking about choking sasha. in my opinion i agree with charles barkley, carmelo is a scorer. carmelo has had some games where he can pass the ball but he hardly ever plays defense. we complain about kobe sometimes but carmelo is awful. |

Anthony is one player that I like.
He has the talent......I don't see him complaining much off or on the court (may be i missed more)
He always smiles......when someone makes shot over him or he makes shot over someone. Don't confuse that with smirk or something else.
Lastly......I don't mind seeing him in Lakers uniform. |

melo has that laugh that reminds me of players like mcgrady and vince carter. that trait that kobe has they just don't seem to and it has always seemed to be the deciding factor of who the best is, that fierceness and i just don't see it in melo. |

Carmelo has complained. He constantly wants ball in his hand eventhough he can't make plays. Kobe, lebron, and dwyane are playmakers as well as scorers, Carmelo is a pure scorer. When Chauncey firs came he didn't like the fact Chauncey had the ball so much and even was jealous when the crowd loved Chauncey (Chauncey after all is hometown boy). Little did he know chauncey would take him to WCF. Also this year he was tryin to get scoring title and MVP. When chauncey went down and Denver lost all teir games without Chauncey he was out of competition.
He also is completely arrogant. Melo is great but the stuff he says. He says he can score blindfolded that the person who is guarding him should just stay home. He also has said he doesn't know what the hype is with Kobe, lebron or dwyane. Someone told me the reason why they got dwyane Wade to be Jordan's spokesperson is b/c melo wasn't doing anything for sales. I'm not sure I don't know. |
