Don't be shock if Luke plays ahead of Barnes, let alone Ebanks. |
Oh, I won't be. I already know how Phil is.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Ebanks hardly played at all. |

Man... Shannon Brown showed a new dimension to his game tonight. I haven't seen him find such a great balance between being a scoring threat and feeding the open man, and with such great assists no less! Including that Play of the Game spin move/feed to Blake. |

I could see Ebanks getting relegated to deep bench duties with him not coming out until Q4, but wow 4-5 shooting, 8 points in 8 minutes, an assist, 2 steals and 1 block, punking Radman and that alley-oop slam at the end...
I think that's too much for even PJ to ignore. I think his game spoke volumes tonight. |

Lakers got killed on the glass tonight against the worst rebounding team in the NBA. This is a big concern.
Rebounds
Lakers 37
Warriors 48
Offensive Rebounds
Lakers 10
Warriors 21 _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I noticed tonight when Odom came out of the game they had Barnes playing the 4 spot. We are pretty weak at Power Forward right now. With Pau playing Center that only leaves Odom our only legit Power Forward. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

If (BIG IF) Walton is healthy he should play over Ebanks. Nice glue guy for the bench since Odom's starting. PJax & rookies...ho hum!
Barnes should be 1st off the bench @ SF or SG (Sorry Sasha!). Blake is another calming influence out there for the bench...making Luke a little more expendible.
Ratliff is amazing on D end to me. He is showing some good help D and is challenging shots well at the rim. Great lateral quickness for a guy his size/age. Needs to rebound a little better...but he is out of position most times having to help out - in other words no one was helping the helper by boxing his guy out.
Shannon looks to me like he is serious about playing basketball. Looks like the guys alright between the ears by really improving his game. Some players like collecting paychecks and some players love the game and want to improve. S. Brown seems like he really is looking to improve this year. Interesting backup situation at the SG...Phil can't play Sasha if Brown is playing this good. But with Sasha in his contract yr ... tuff one.
Once Bynum is healthy...we may have a bench mob situation on our hands. Phil can bring in a new starting 5 in the e/o the 1st or anytime throughout the 2nd qtr.
PG - Blake
SG - Brown
SF - Barnes
PF - Odom
C - Minerals
Tell me that team couldn't whip the bottom half of the league right now?!?! |

Actually it isn't a tough one at all. One guy can play, the other can't.
Sasha can start asking Maria for an allowance next year after he is out of the NBA.
Shannon stays and is in the rotation for the back to back world champs, problem solved. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I was going to say this, Ratliff really makes a difference in protecting the paint/basket, so much so that the 2nd unit needs to be much more active in boxing out and getting the rebound, because they let alot of easy rebounds that were caused by Ratliff's challenge of shots go back to the warriors. Cool game but expected from pre-season and playing the warriors, who are just trying to build an identity post-nellie. _________________ 11/9/12 the day the brown was flushed down!!!!!!

Pau with an extremely efficient game. His shot's coming back; he does seem a bit lethargic on defense/rebounding though.
Blake! Dude finally showed up to camp. I'm only expecting something like 10 points from Blake or some nice PG work so 18 points and 7 assists is flat out beastly.
LO outplayed the Warriors brand new $80 million dollar man David Lee.
Shannon Brown's shooting has been impressive all preseason long. At this point, I'd remove the "preseason" qualifier on his shooting.
Barnes played one of his better games. Gotta work on his rebounding
EBanks was a scoring machine in his short minutes. Also has to work on rebounding.
Getting outrebounded 48 to 37 by the Warriors is probably the worst line of an overall great game by the Lakers. I'm sure that will improve. _________________ Before Lamar trade: Lakers-57 wins (2011)

Lol, people actually thought trading LO would be a GOOD thing

Brown played the most minutes in the game for either team... 6-11 shooting, 5 assist, 3 steals, 2 blocked shots, 13 points.... noice...
deeeeeeeeeep bench....
.... darn.... I missed the game... I've been looking forward to Blake having a game like he did... 18 points on 80% shooting with 7 assists in 25 minutes will get it done.... _________________ Rule = win titles
