Another game in which the Lakers don't play with effort until the last quarter. Some real lowlights all around:
Kobe going through an 0 for 10 chucking spree
Pau playing generally weak for 3 quarters
Fisher guarding no one
Ron Artest with his usual offensive offense

Why was Artest even in the game? I just don't get it. What a horrible lineup to close the game. Why not take a TO and get your 3-point shooters in the game. Just dumb.
For there to be a chance to tie or win this time, it was because of Artest's 3. Without him, this game would've been over a minute or two before.
That isn't on Artest. Kobe drove into a crowd and threw a bad pass giving Gay time to recover on Artest.
the pass was admittedly off the mark, forcing ron ron to move from where he was and to catch the ball while he was off balance instead of having his feet set and ready to shoot, but he still needs to just go up with that shot at that point in the game.
What a joke, call a freaking time out and run a set play, we really want Ron Artest shooting a contested 3 pointer with no time on the clock every night?
Phil Jackson earning his money big time this year...hell I can sit on the bench, look smug, and not call timeouts with the game on the line. _________________
That was not a bad pass. Ron had it and should have shot it the minute he got it, but instead he hesitated and then shot it. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you!

The way the Lakers have managed the end of these games has been terrible. I can't believe they are the back to back champs making those kinds of mental errors.
Pau played like a complete puss in the 1st 3 quarters. He finally woke up, but (bleep) give this dude some 5 Hour Energy before games. He was moving around as if he had lead weights in his shoes.

Well kiss home court advantage in the finals away (assuming the Lakers get that far). Losing to pathetic teams like Indiana (at home) and Memphis is unacceptable!
I know, right? Not a single one of the Lakers' 16 title teams ever lost to "pathetic" teams, or, in this case .500 teams. Not a single one. Doomed.
That isn't on Artest. Kobe drove into a crowd and threw a bad pass giving Gay time to recover on Artest.
what game were you watching...it was a semi fast break...and if kobe would have shot it you would probably complain
The one where Kobe drove into a crowd and was forced to throw an off target jump pass to Ron that gave Gay time to recover. Which forced Artest to try and create a shot with seconds on the clock.

You seem to forget the Lakers got in the big hole to begin with because of Artest's stupid play to start the 4th. Your argument is FAIL. One good play doesn't account for the 3 bad ones. Made 3 vs. giving up 5 = -2. Lakers lost by 2.

.1
If by bad pass you mean perfect pass right to him with 3 seconds to go then I agree.
Yeah, it seems like some of you guys need to go back and watch the replay. Artest only had to slightly move over to catch the pass and had a good look at the basket. Ron is just so indecisive with the ball in these situations, he didn't need to pump fake.
Wow, that was the saddest last 8 seconds of basketball I have ever seen. It just gets worse and worse each game. First giving up 22 threes to Phoenix, and now this???
