Despite today's blowout win, hard to know what to expect from this team. Too inconsistent right now. I can see Hornets blow them out in this game. We'll see. |

The Lakers cannot allow New Orleans to shoot 81% the entire first quarter and expect to be competitive in game 6.
LA needs to bring fire early and often, cut down on senseless long range jumpers.
That said, I truly feel that the bigs for New Orleans are starting to wear down, and if New Orleans doesn't shoot a high percentage, they'll be run off the court.
Also, at least for game 6, all the pressure shifts to New Orleans. I'm curious to see if they continue to shoot 50% when their season is on the line. |

During the Kobe and Gasol era, this team has failed only once to close out a team on its first try. The one and only opponent to escape elimination: Houston Rockets of 2009. The Lakers closed them out in Game 7 on their second attempt. Every other time the Lakers have had a chance to close a series out, home or road, they have been successful on their first attempt.
Lots of parallels to the Houston series though, so I wouldn't be surprised by a Game 6 loss. I hate carl landry. _________________ https://psntrophyleaders.com/user/view/tenike1

Close em out. If they win this, I will have a lot more confidence in this team. |

Lakers need to channel their in Denver Game 6 game in 2009. Seal the win in the 3rd and lets rest for 4 days for the next series.
Lakers will not see another scrappy team from all angles and all world play from the PG position all together the rest of the playoffs. You could say the Bulls but Noah is their only scrapper. We shall see... |

Lakers taking the wins they need, but when they determine a game's expendable, they just don't play as well. Game 6 falls into that same trap as Game 4; would be nice to win, but they know they still have another game and HCA to fall back on, and end up getting outworked by a hungrier opponent. Hopefully that's not how Thursday night plays out, and instead we see shades of the Laker team last offseason, closing out 3 opponents in a row on the road. |

yes they can. they did it last game and blew the hornets out. its called variance. they shoot 81% in the 1st quarter but finish 49% for the game. variance sir. Id rather the hornets get off to a hot start and cool off then get off to a cold start than heat up in the 4th |
