It's just wasn't the Rocket's year. Probably the most unlucky team this season. |

Yao said he wants to play for Team China in the World Championship's this summer. That would be major league stupid. |

No, that would be "you come and play or your relatives are gonna suffer". Yao can't say (bleep) about anything until he gets his parents closest relatives out of China. _________________ I want to say something about Dwayne Wade, but I fear I may get called for a foul.

Yeah, the government there basically paid for all of Yao's development - they own his ass now. Some huge percentage of his earnings go to them too, including endorsements. |

Maybe they are tanking the season like the T'Wolves. (According to Jim Rome is Burning today). A good draft pick + (healthy?) Yao/t-Mac = good for the Rockets next year... |

Thats if he is lucky.. like I said in another thread.. if he damaged the base of his foot, with how stiff and tall he already is, his career is close to done. _________________ “These young guys are playing checkers. I'm out there playing chess.” - Kobe Bryant |

wont be any improvement in his game this offseason, as he'll probably be ready by training camp, he's already established him self too be the premier dominant center in basketball now anyway, i dont think anyone could argue otherwise right now, unless someone wants too make a case for shaq... |

He had surgery today. It was a stress fracture on the fifth metatarsal bone. I'm no doctor, but probably inserted a screw or two to help reinforce it. The fifth metatarsal is a bone spanning from your pinky toe to about midway in your foot from what I recall. It takes a lot of stress when you run (depending upon running style of course), landing, pivoting, or of course, someone else landing on your foot.
Let's hope he heals up completely. It does have the potential of being for recurrance, and it's very slow to heal. |
