Just to be clear.
MarShon Brooks is far more talented and skilled than Kent Bazemore. Bazemore is essentially Devean George. While Brooks can be a 20 ppg. starting shooting guard in this league.
Brooks hasn't played in forever. Wait 'til he gets his lungs back. |

Bazemore is not a bad ball handler. Definitely some potential more than just being lengthy and athletic. |

Chill man. Don't you realize how hard our remaining schedule is while Boston's remaining schedule is relatively easy |
Look how bad their team is though, Our team is only gonna get better as we get the injured guys back. We needed a cushion |

Who cares. It's bad karma to tank. |
Aren't both teams doing it? |
How are we tanking? Guys have always played hard, no matter who's on the floor and what the circumstances were. No way you can compare the bad luck that we've had this year with injuries to the blatant tanking the Celtics are pulling off right now. It would really be great to see them draft the one bust out of the top 5... |
Explain the OKC game. This is what bad teams do. Plus the Lakers traded their most effective player for two Warriors benchwarmers. I don't think now is the right time to criticize tanking. |
Mitch wanted to pick up two young prospects. He's looking smart tonight. They'll likely both come back down to earth soon, but they clearly have some talent and may become decent players some day. Worth taking a flyer on in a lost season. |
It was a good move. It opens up more time for potential future guys like Marshall to play and it gets them a few other guys that could develop. It was not designed to help this team win more games, more so the opposite.
I don't know how people are bashing a bad team for collapsing in the 4th when the Lakers have done it a bunch of times this year. The Celtics wanted to win, the Lakers just got crazy hot. |

I was being a little sarcastic. But eventually we are gonna have to get younger and get all star talent in their prime. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Most of them are from what I saw. If they would have won they might be singing a different tune though.

Bazemore and Brooks honestly combined are probably as good as Blake or better at this point. They are younger and more cost effective also. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

They are also faster, more athletic, more fluid in the offense and don't have a nickname "bagel". |

Not even tankers could wish for a Laker loss to the Celtics. I won't believe any laker fan could ever hope for that. |

This is now two games in a row that Boston allowed LA to win by tanking the fourth. They fully understand how meaningless these games are, you truly can't have any more meaningless games than these. The only meaning to be found in these games is to hope the Lakers get a good enough pick to get a superstar in the draft which could set them up for glory for decades to come.
I will never understand why fans root for their teams to lose in the long term and win in the short term. None of these players will be Lakers next year, WHY are you rooting for the Lakers to go from the 4th pick in the draft (close to number 3) to what is now the 7th pick in the draft? We went from 4th to 7th in ONE DAY. This is horrible!
Then again, with Jim Buss in control I don't think we could ever win again, he is worse than Frank McCourt. Sure he isn't as greedy as McCourt. But at least McCourt was smart and earned his way. Jim Buss is literally a borderline (bleep), I really think he is in the literal sense. He is too stupid to understand the value of a top 3 pick in a once in a decade draft |

I am predicting no parking spikes or measles for either for the last 27 games. Healthy players who can ball, strange..... _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Welcome to the board, I agree with your points in general. But Boston is Boston, I don't want to lose to them ever.
I watched the 4th quarter and I don't think Boston intentionally tanked the game, they were playing their best players and they were trying to win.
I agree though that in general we need to hopefully put ourselves in position to get the highest draft pick possible because the right pick in this draft could be a franchise star potentially.
So now they can lose games now that Boston was swept, deal? _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
D'Antoni said he was pleased w/t enthusiasm and effort + athleticism that newcomers Bazemore and Brooks offered. Thought it was infectious.
D'Antoni on athleticism influx after months of a depleted roster: "It changes everything. You can't be small and slow, you can't be tired."
LAL was basically playing with 8 players through January. Now w/Young and Henry returning + Bazemore/Brooks, they'll have too many guys. _________________ Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,it's learning how to dance in the rain.... |
