HOWEVER......
Odom and Mihm for Zach Randolph, Darius Miles and 7th Overall could get it done.
Draft - 7th Overall - Brandon Roy - 26th Overall - James White
Roster
Kwame Brown/Andrew Bynum
Zach Randolph/Brian Cook/Ronny Turiaf
Darius Miles/Luke Walton/James White
Kobe Bryant/Sasha Vujacic
Brandon Roy/Smush Parker
MLE still to spend |

Portland with the number 4 and 7 pick. Thats a nice little pick up though. |
The hell is wrong with you, because there was the talk of the Lakers pursuing the #4 pick for Brandon Roy and also recieving Darius Miles for Mihm & others. |
hahahahahaaha
The Hell you talkin about. We are not getting a top 4 pick for Chris Mihm. BET ON IT. |
What about for Mihm & Cook, or Mihm & a signed D. George?
What if it is Bynum whos Portland is after, if i remember correctly the jailblazers were the other only team Andrew worked out for last year and was rumored wowed by him and considered to draft him, having said that hows this trade...
Bynum, Cook and #26 for Miles and #4, sounds fair to me...

WEEI Boston is reporting Raef Lafrentz and Theo Ratliff were involved as well. _________________ "The lack of V-8 juice consumption in this league is appalling." - Bill Walton |

Telfair is a solid PG. Had he gone to college he would have been a top 10 pick in the draft anyway. While I don't think he'll be an all-star any time soon, I think some people here are underrating him. |

If Raef goes to Portland that makes Miles expendable and there is a better chance we get him now. |

Mitch is on the phone right now discussing a possible deal with Portland. He offered Mihm, Cook, #26 for Skinner, #7. However, the Blazers are pushing the Lakers to trade Mihm, Cook, McKie, Wafer, #26 for Miles and #7. I dont think Miles realy has a place on our roster, but if it means getting Roy, we got to do what we got to do. |

Heck, even if Roy gets picked up before the 7th pick, I'll gladly do the trade so that the Lakers can pickup Brewer!!!!
Seems like the pipedream of a blazer-laker trade COULD become reality with POrtland getting 2 1st round picks:
Portland picks Morrison with #4
(Cross fingers) Portalnd picks Roy with #7 and triggers trade with Lakers for Roy and Miles for Mihm and filler (hopefully we can keep the #26). _________________ "Who is this kid? Does he know me? I don't think he was hugged enough as a kid." - Kobe Bryant on Raja Bell |

from foxsports the other players involved are:
"...Sebastian Telfair and big man Theo Ratliff from the Trail Blazers in exchange for the No. 7 pick in tonight's NBA draft, center Raef LaFrentz and guard Dan Dickau..."

Or Portland could just give up #4, #7, Zach Randolph, fillers, for KG. |
Not in this draft - that deal sucks for Minnesota. Now, if those picks were NEXT YEAR's draft, then they're very valuable. |

Disagree. Randolph is 20/10 without the defense. Get Brandon Roy and Ronnie Brewer. Core is set. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

i can imagine them hanging onto their picks and trying to rebuild a team with a better image/clean slate...but i don't understand why morrison isn't one of the picks, unless they don't expect him past the bobcats...? |

I think Minny can get much better value than picks from a "okay" draft paired with a no-defense playing malcontent who bails on his team when they're struggling (struggles that would most definitely be likely in Minny). Next year's picks have far greater value and I can't see Minny not wanting to wait for those instead.
Did you hear about the rumored Chicago deal of Chandler, Deng & Thomas (at #2) for Garnett? While that deal doesn't isn't likely (no Garnett deal is at this point), it's a better indicator of what it would take for the Wolves to part with KG - and it's a better deal than the Portland one as it includes all the talent but none of the head case issues. |

Reports are that Minnesota will take Foye @ 6 (NBA TV), which may drop Roy to #7. Can the Lakers get that #7 pick from the Blazers if they draft Roy at that spot.

Wonder if Tellem tried to convince Houston to not take Roy via trade at 5. Didn't Roy kind of quit on that recent Houston workout. |
