NBA notes: Farmar signs contract with Lakers

The Lakers signed first-round draft pick Jordan Farmar (Taft High of Woodland Hills/UCLA) to a two-year, $1.9 million contract. If the team exercises the third- and fourth-year options in the contract, Farmar's rookie deal could be worth almost $5 million.
Farmar, the No. 26 pick in last week's NBA draft, will make his summer league debut Saturday in Long Beach.

FREE-AGENT UPDATE:
Agent Mark Bartelstein said he spoke more than once Wednesday to Nuggets director of player personnel Mark Warkentien. With the Nuggets needing a shooter, emphasis looks to be on free agents Eddie House, Tony Delk and Devean George.
"They have interest," Bartelstein said. |
