This year's getting hype bigtime with all the buzz surrounding Lonzo. Haven't seen this since Kobe and Bynum @ the CSULB Pyramid back in the day (different years of course). It wasn't as well publicized back then, but a lot of familiar faces all in one arena. You'd see Popovich walking around, then Phil, Pat near the tunnel, and by the time you sit down there's Jimmy Buss asking his dad (sitting at courtside) to sign some stuff for kids. |

Actually I was more excited the year Dlo came out - but this is the 3rd straight year I will be going. A few suggestions for those that are:
Don't buy tix presale until you get there - they add tons of fees and the tix cost up to $10 (or more) buying in advance - don't worry, they wont sell out and the box office is not busy.
If you want to see the lakers play and want good seats, you need to get there 2 games before they play for the Fri-Sat games.
If you stay at Hard Rock, you can walk - its not too far (1/2 mile?) as long as you don't mind a little heat. But if you do, just cab over and walk back at night - last year I walked back to the strip in the evening - a nice walk of about 1 1/2 to 2 miles.
If you go for the lakers and want to leave when its over, beware of the cab lines - they can get very long right after the game ends.
Lastly, my eating suggestion: Carnegie Deli in Mirage - order the "Woody Allen" - its the biggest sandwich you have ever seen in a deli. Its half pastrami half corned beef piled way, way high, and can easily be split between two hungry men!
And I may also try that BBQ place earlier in the thread - looks great!

Why, yes I will. Like Mike said, I've got my own job there (www.sportsbusinessclassroom.com) but I've got spare time. |

going 7/7!
probably gonna go right when it starts around 3-3:30. LV is packed with Lakers fans. my friends went last year and it was so crowded they had no where to sit. It's first come first serve for seating. |

Even though Russell want playing in this years summer league, my excitement for it has been tempered with the trade.
Maybe we pick up 2 nice players with our late picks to give us some serious positive vibes.
I'm fully expecting lonzo to be our 2 pick, but who knows at this point. |

This roster should absolutely wreck the rest of the summer league teams. I expect Lonzo, Ingram, and Zubac to be among the top players in Vegas. |

Two weeks till the first summer league game.
Can't wait to see these guys dominate in Vegas and bring home that trophy.
Will be a good warmup for hoisting the LOB trophy after Lebron, PG and Boogie all come here on slightly-less-than-max deals next summer. |

I think FO will insist on winning summer league....just to bring that mentality of winning again....its about time. I know summer league is worth nothing but from mentality standpoint its quite important IMO. We will see. Also I expect few more guys there to be invited. |

Nice to the summer league roster assembled on essentially one night.
We have a good idea of the players that will be playing the majority of the minutes.
As for the rest - I wonder if they'll take another gander at Moustapha Fall, Xavier Munford, Zach Auguste and maybe even Anthony Brown. Jabari Brown is one guy I don't think they'll bring back, simply because the new management wants less iso-heavy players, though I could be wrong. |

Need a lot of minutes for Zu. Our future is riding on the shoulders of Zu and Ingram. Really need at least one of our draft picks to become an allstar. Already struck out with our previous two picks. Hopefully, third and fourth times are charms. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024 |
