Most likely not LeBron, unless he does something outrageous.
I think it's Josh Hart since he improved a variety of skills that should make him unguardable with single coverage, and people don't seem to expect much from him.
Who do you expect will be this year's biggest surprise? |

Whatever the major young players do won’t surprise me so I’m going with Hart as the guy who will surprise. |

I went Lonzo because it seems like a lot of people are waiting for him to be a bust. On the other hand I think he's going to make a leap and be the guy we had all hoped for when he was drafted. _________________ Not a legend |

IMO the "surprise" will be one of the centers . Zubac or Wagner.
Not sure any of the rest will be a surprise. They are basically known quantities and likely to play to expectations.
The surprise will be Zubac ( possibly a longshot of Wagner) having a consistent impact all season long. Surprising us all by earning more playing time and being a valuable piece to the puzzle at center.
Surprising us by playing much better defense then expected and solid stats. One will earn approx 28 mpg and contribute 10pts/ 8 rebs a night. |

1. Lonzo
2. BI.
LBJ will be such an eye opener when folks finally see just how amazing he is. Hopefully that will get his Lakers-detractors off his back. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I guess it goes to expectations.
I expect Ball and Ingram to make a jmp. I expect Kuzma and Beasley to be consistent scorers off the bench. I expect KCP and Hart to be a tremendous 1-2 punch at SG.
Just think the surprise will come from the center position. Maybe McGee surprises by significantly increasing his mpg? Or Wagner brings an energy and shooting ability that earns him mpg?
My hope is Zubac is the guy. He is finally ready to contribute. Doesn't need to be a star. Just a solid nightly contributor playing off the "stars". He has a opportunity, only time will tell if hecan take advantage of it. |

For us who follow the Lakers closely, we expect our young studs to grow and develop. I think the surprise will be Zubac because the expectations is really low on him . I think him and Lebron will do wonders on pick and roll situations. |

Going with Svi. I think he'll quickly become the fan favorite and will have his nights where he hits key shots. I dont think he'll get a lot of playing time, but I see him playing very well as a specialist |

My heart is telling me BI, but my mind is telling me Kuz.
Also, I have to say, looking at that list, we have an impressive amount of players that WILL improve this season. I'm really excited about Wagner and Svi too. I think Wagner is going to be loved here. |

Who do you expect will be this year's biggest surprise? | i want to say Zo because if he gets out of his own head. the ft's will look better and the jumper/layups will be better and that alone with the same game from last year will put him in the upper level's of nba players in his 2nd year.
But if they actually give SVI some burn. I think Wasabi will bring the ghost of Ginobili into a laker uniform. |

the field is so dang crowded with household names. i just dont know if they would give it to him even if he was balling at a AS level. |

Surprise?
I'd say Beasley or Zubac. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Yep. Most players improve their shooting %s from year one to year two and I expect a big improvement from Zo. I think he’ll end up the second best guy on the team and will have all star level impact. |

Lonzo. He will get at least 10 triple-doubles this year. |

I've listened to so much talk about this team, I'm not sure what it would take to surprise me. Almost everything and every possible outcome has been beaten to death at this point. |

Last, but not least,
Stephenson (I thought I put his name on there)
He would be a legitimate option if he becomes more of a shooter and less of a creator. |

I'm ok with either one, or both.
The various opinions just show the possibilities that this team could be anywhere from a little bit better, to far better than people have anticipated. |

Who ever wins the poll cannot be the biggest surprise because that person just won the poll--it would not be a surprise. _________________ “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”
