Comparing BI with Ben Simmons? I’m a homer as they come but are you kidding me? I’d take Simmons 20 out of 10 times. There’s nothing in BI’s game as of now that warrant the praises Magic and some fans here are giving to him. The guy can’t shoot midrange or three, taking way too long to release his jumpshots. He is a poor finisher due to his lack of strength. not aggressive in the court on both ends. The only thing this guy has is his physique and length, but that all on paper, I just don’t see any of those transpired into his game on the court yet.
That wasn't particularly true last season as he hit over 67% of his shots at the rim while still a wire-thin rookie. He should continue to improve there as he gets older, and if he can hit 75-80% of his FTs going forward, he'll be earning a lot of "three pointers the old fashioned way" with how physical he is at attacking defenders. The kid legitimately loves contact.
But Simmons is clearly superior and Ingram needs to shoot and defend a lot better this season to even think of catching up with Ben. Also, there's no shame in BI not being as good as Ben Simmons. Ingram can develop into a damn good to great player in his own right.
Well said..
Just because Ben has HOF/all time potential, doesn't mean Ingram can't be a top 10-15 player during his prime. That's really all you can hope for from any top pick.
all this pressure on Ingram again...it's just like last year
character building. Took awhile but he answered the challenge last year.
Ehhhh he fell 4 points per game shy of the expectations without drastic defensive improvements and his on off analytics were generally bad. I wouldn’t say he answered them last year.
For as much talk there is about trading Ingram and him not finishing games by LG posters, the FO and coaching staff is always on the other side . Keep sleeping tho
You noticed that too, huh? _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."

Depends what standards you base your evaluation on. 20 pg may have been mentioned by Magic but they weren't my expectation.
Did he improve his counting stats - yep.
Did he improve his analytic stats - yep.
Did he change his shot - yep.
Did his game improve throughout the year - yep.
Hmmm his generally bad analytics - agree. There are a couple of posters you should discuss this with. Yea I needed to throw that dig in but it's not meant for you.
Corey wasn't much of a defender.. he wasn't a facilitator either. Neither comparison makes much sense really.
Well, Ingram isn't much of a defender as of yet. Maggette wasn't as good of a passer, but he was a consistent 14-15% assist rate guy during his best years. BI was at 17.7% AST% last year, though we'll see how playing next to Lebron impacts his assisting positively or negatively.
But as a high FTr slasher with a shaky 3pt jumper, there's some overlap. _________________ Under New Management
