Actually, I take back what I said about Oden fighting for position. I think it's been 5 minutes without his guards passing it into him in the post once. |

Matta's gameplan: "Ok guys, I mean guards, just shoot as much as you can from outside. We have Greg Oden and he'll get all the rebounds for us. Just SHOOT from outside whenever you can."
This guy is a dumbass. _________________ NBA referees are a detriment to the integrity and essence of the game of basketball. It is our duty, as fans of this sacred game, to eviscerate each and every one of these treacherous maggots, if ever we cross paths with any of them in our lives. |

I must say, it doesn't look like Oden can hold his position against Horford, and it has nothing to do with foul trouble. |

Disagree. Horford is doing everything well fundamnetally. If ODen forces the issue, offensive foul.
Not worth it. Better to just give that up and stay in with the heavy interior D impact.
It's the guards lightining it up and opening the game for Florida. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

^Conley Jr. is the only guy with any kind of real post passing ability.
That emphasizes just how important it is to have multiple players with that ability, especially against a zone defense. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I meant when Oden is on defense. Horford seems to be getting to spot that he wants to get to, regardless of whether he gets the ball or not.
Don't get me wrong, I think very highly of Oden. I just don't think his man defense is as flawless as some are saying it is. His help D is off the charts though. |

Ohio St. needs a big-name, veteran coach. Their current one is a (bleep). _________________ NBA referees are a detriment to the integrity and essence of the game of basketball. I disagree. Once again, based on foul trouble.
It's arrested him on both ends of the floor.
Of course it doesn't help that Oden still isn't good enough shape to play 35mpg. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Maybe it's his number subconsciously affecting my thinking, but he reminds me a lot of Brand, actually. |

To me, it seems like that Oden didn't try as hard because of the score, and Hortford caught him by surprise. However, Hortford is only 245 lbs(although he looks bigger), if that's true, then that's a bit concerning for Oden because that's undersized in the NBA. |

I blame that on the talent, not the coach.
Thad Matta is the guy that made Butler overacheive in the NCAA tournament, which was exactly how he got to Ohio State in the first place. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Ohio States guard play, or lack thereof, is killing them. College ball, guard play decides everything. _________________ Stephon Marbury on Kobe: "He's the only person on 'dis earth that can do 'dat. You say score. I say lack of conditioning. Not because he can't, he's just out of steam.
Though I find it a bit ironic that you say that, because Bynum out of HS got posted up by non-NBA talent and scored at will in the SPL by guys 6'10" 240. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
