Right now it is very foolish to fire Luke Walton for there is no coach alive that could come in and make a difference.
Especially J. Kidd would be worse choice.
Luke is a good coach but still learning.
The best choice was to surround him with experience and a shooting coach.
The new coach has to be better than Walton, and Luke is not bad.
Just inexperienced. |

True, it is not a realistic expectation for any coach to come in the middle of a season and make a drastic difference.
I don't agree about Luke however. He is a bad coach. Sure he could be a different coach in 10 years, but he has improved very little in 3 years. I don't think he gets it. Luke doesn't A) see what's going on the floor in time to make adjustments and B) doesn't know what adjustments to make in order to improve.
It's like any relationship. If it's not working out, better to move on now rather than dragging it out. |

So now the Lakers Coach and 5 or 6 players have the threat of no longer being on the team hanging over their heads..
great, just great... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

I like Luke but it's def. his own fault that he has improved only slightly if at all after 3 years because he chose a pretty horrible coaching staff around him especially as a brand new head coach.. I hope they don't fire him this season though and they worry about it going into the off season and see who's available.. I am all for the upgrade but this talk of Mark Jackson and Jason Kidd is pretty comical if they want to do something more then just make a lateral move to yet another mediocre coach. |

The only "re-thread" coach I'd be okay with Monty Williams. Jason and Mark Johnson would be terrible choices to hire. They just need to replace the Assistant Coaches and implement a good offense. |

I'm no Luke fan, but if this is true, then the decision to hire Magic over West was an even bigger mistake than I thought.

Lebron signing already made hiring Magic a good decision. |

Kidd in LA? He'd be the next coach to be fired along with
anyone else that comes to head up this squad. We just are not a
good team. Fix the team. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

Mark Jackson must have seen this report and kicked his slobbering into overdrive because of it. It was an impressive performance. |

MARK JACKSON
Then this shouldn't even be a serious thought or conversation!
Love J-Kidd we should have gotten him as a player but we didn't so that time has come and gone and as good as his IQ is, he's not suited to be a coach here in LA, it would only be a stop-gap temporary situation...
When I look at the GSW team, all I can say is that Mark Jackson gift wrapped that team for Kerr and much of their initial success was due to the seeds that Mark planted!

Just (bleep) get Ty Lue in here and call it a day. There's the bs "Laker" and "champion as player and coach" angle too. |

Jason Kidd???? Mark Jackson????? Well, the Lakers do have a long history of making many absolutely horrific coaching hires... _________________ I believe that a triangle, if it could speak, would say that God is eminently triangular, and a circle that the divine nature is eminently circular; and thus would every one ascribe his own attributes to God. - Baruch Spinoza |

I love throwing coach names out there, but, any of them
would get fired with the current team IMO.
Our Rookies are far from a developed product and they will take time
IF the work out. now IF they do eventually work out I guess the
last coach that inherits them is the big winner, ala Kerr. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team ! |

if this is true Magic and Rob are idiots. Who is leaking all these things? They can't serve to any positive outlook. Luke to be fire, half the team to be traded. WTH |
