That's not happening if Kings/Clippers keep smashing the weaker opponents and somehow come back down 30+ points against top tier teams. I think we're done tbh, looks like LJ mailed it in already

Maybe LBJ thinks it’s better for his legacy to miss the playoffs than to face GSW and get swept when more eyes are watching. #LeCalculated
Yea, hope we make it to the playoffs. Been a long time since we played meaningful games towards the end of regular season. _________________ Showtime 2.0

We really would need the seventh seed to avoid facing GSW in the first round. This was a wasted season. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

It was a wasted season the minute they couldn't get PG and decided to punt the year by going with 1-year deals to preserve capspace for the summer of 2019.
If the Lakers don't make the playoffs, and they were to hit the lotto (has happened before), who has any confidence someone like Zion would spend a single day in a Lakers jersey?

Would be another LeGM sacrifice, no?
If they were in the lottery they’d have a 12-14
Pick. Like a 2 percent shot of picking 1. Let’s talk about realistic scenarios. _________________ 17 time World Champions
To finish 46-36 LeBron needs to avg 30+ Pts a game and Kuz + BI each would need 20+ per game while holding the opponents to under 100 most games. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview
Assuming some teams also don't intentionally drop games to the Clippers and Kings towards the end of the season. _________________ The road back to the top...

I think the team slotted 11th one time made it all the way to the #1 pick. _________________ The road back to the top...

Nah, it became a disaster when Lebron got hurt and missed 18 games.

Regardless it was going to be a wasted season anyways. This team obviously want a real contender. The plan was to be a legit contender by the start of next season. Hopefully next year isn't a complete waste as well. But if no big time Max star and no AD, then it will be another year until we can compete IF we even get AD. If not, this Lebron speed up the timeline experiment is a failure.

Playoffs ain’t happening. This team is too dysfunctional, too much drama, bad coaching and highly inconsistent. They play an excellent game one day to stink it up the next day. That won’t cut it.

If the Lakers dradted Zion or Barrett I'd think LeBron would immediately want them traded somewhere for an all-star.
I just ran a tankathon sim.
Had Zion going 1st to the Knicks
Ja Morant going 2nd to Chicago
RJ Barrett going 3rd to the Lakers
I'd be completely fine with that... if RJ wasn't then packaged with Ingram, Lonzo and Kuzma by LeGM Johnson to then trade a max here and leave us with nothing once LeBron is gone after 2 more seasons. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

They can stink at one third (8) of their remaining games (26) and still end up winning 46 games. _________________ Trade AD now.
