Acknowledging that effort and energy are keys to playing Team D, the team’s depth allows players to play with the required energy throughout (hopefully) the entire game (plus more fouls to give, if needed
Limit giving up straight line drives to the basket with the ball on the opposing player’s strong hand making it more difficult to pass the ball to shooters and/or providing more time for the defender might be a good thing
EDIT - Post game 1 of the RS, the team was very iso-centric for AD. Didn't see that as much in preseason. Could have been a message or to build a base for AD longterm. We didn't utilize many pick and rolls or get into our sets quickly. Weird they abandoned a lot of what they were doing in preseason.

Lebron has never played with a dominant big man
His natural instinct is to drive right to the front of the rim and kick to right or left corner
Usually Bosh or Kevin Love on one side and JR Smith or Kyle Korver on the other side
If Flippers go under screen or switch
AD goes straight to low block and Bron should dribble to the wing
If Flippers try to front swing ball to corner and have AD repost
Full front do a lob pass over the top
Of all things Jason Kidd should know how to teach Lebron to do this reverse lob pass. He is more used to throwing hard high heat passes to the corner
Should be simple swing to corner or lob over the top
Repost or repost on opposite side if they full front
Bron has to watch tapes of Brian Shaw making post entry passes to Shaq over and over again
When AD passes back out and repost
THAT is when Bron should drive
Fake the 3 and then drive hard like Kobe or Robert Horry would
Lakers have to watch this game 7 over and over again
The Doc Rivers/Thibdeau defense essentially a zone defense with lots of strong side help
There should be weak side offense rebounding opportunities on the other side
McGee and Dwight should be watching game 7 of 2010 Boston LA series to learn how to get offensive rebounds. They should spread out further out on weak side wing and then crash the glass.
Pau Gasol had a great performance as well, pouring in 19 points and adding 18 rebounds.
Gasol and the length of the Lakers posed plenty of problems for Boston in this game, especially with the absence of Celtics C Kendrick Perkins who missed Game Seven with a knee injury.
This advantage was exemplified even more tonight as L.A. outrebounded Boston by a 53-40 margin including a dominating 23-8 margin in the offensive rebounding category.
