Kostas is a pretty good shot blocker. Could he be the rim protector that everyone says the Lakers need? Did he learn anything at all in the G League?
I realize he is only on a 2 way contract and would only be able to play in about half the games. Could Vogel and his staff make Kostas into a contributing factor?
He could also be the alley oop guy. |

On the subject of Kostas.
He's 6'10 with a 7'2 wingspan, has some jumping ability and finishing ability.
He lacks handles and strength, has okay shot blocking instincts but needs technique. Him adding strength + size is what will be important for him going forward. He could be a very deadly pick and roll center if he commits to it given the athletic gifts and size he has.
Up to him ultimately though. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

"I will never be mad if I lose an MVP award. Seven years ago I was playing in 2nd division. Come on man, how can I lose my mind if I am not getting an MVP?"
"Ask Kostas how happy I was for him. When he called me as an NBA Champion, it was 6 am and I was holding champagne for him. Imagine my mother's feelings."

They didn't let him play last game. There was no reason to hold on to him once we extended Lebron. Need a spot for Ariza or Pau Gasol. He's like the LiAngelo of the Ball Brothers. Not all bro's are meant for the NBA. _________________ #SellTheLakers |

He's a 2 way so it's not a normal roster spot. But buh bye. Nice to know you and best of luck. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Reasons not to cut Kostas right now
1) Shares agent with Schroder, who I presume we will try to extend or re-sign this summer
2) Bad optics. Makes it obvious that he was only used as a conduit to recruit Giannis |

All right... so does he really deserve the spot? LOL! I agree it would be bad optics to let him go now. Need to ride him out for at least this season. |

Understood. But this was the worst kept open secret. It's not like he is just a dude off the street.
Objectively, he is not an NBA player. Hips too stiff, can't move. If his name was John Smith he would not be on a roster (and an NBA champ) at all. Remember, AC was a 2 way player and look at him now. No need to keep him all season, especially with no G League. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Is there a better 2-way contract big we could sign? No reason to cut him without a bonified better center to slot in. |

He's tall, but weighs like 195 pounds. With a 2 way deal, the hope is you find the next Caruso, not necessarily hoping that a 2 way player fills a critical need on your team now. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Hell get another couple preseason games and then get cut. The real question is who we replace him with. _________________ Naz Reid or Brooks Lopez are a must in the 2023 offseason! |

Lakers wont cut Kostas. It would send wrong message to free agents and make Lakers look bad. _________________ |

I can't think of another two-way player to replace him with so just keep him.
Come next year, he might very well be 2x NBA Champion Antetokounmpo. |

Well, we already released our 3 exhibit 10 players, South Bay won't play in the G League bubble. So waived him just for the sake of it?? At least, he practices with the guys and for the pay of a two way player... |

If SBL's aren't in the bubble, does that alter the "free" days when 2-way players can be with the Lakers? In a normal season there are pre and post season days that don't count to towards the 45 day total. |

I thought the numbers were changed to 60 games this season for 2 ways. |
