I'd rather it from the Knicks to take them out of contention for Dennis. |
This will make you happy

That would be great. Nets lose him for nothing. Who Lakers may have to play if they make the finals. |

Starters:
Russell Westbrook
Demar Derozan
LeBron James
Anthony Davis
Marc Gasol
Bench:
Dennis Schroeder / Mac McClung (two-way)
THT / Austin Reeves
Rudy Gay / Joel Ayayi
Carmelo Anthony
Andre Drummond
To be honest.. in terms of depth.. the only team that would come close to the Lakers would be the Nets. Aside from that, if healthy that team steamrolls the West. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

If Cavs want to trade him and if the Lakers want him. Caruso would have to sign for about 9 million or so to match Nance. 10 million works for sure. _________________ Previously LBJ23 |

Hollinger projected Drummond's salary at $15M this year. Rumors are Miami is one of the favorites. It will be interesting to see what he gets. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Have nothing against Caruso but without LeBron he's a JAG.
Nothing wrong with that, but the Lakers are probably looking to stack this roster with players who are not so completely dependent on Bron to have success on the floor.
Especially after last season & the team's performance vs. the Suns.
Not saying he shouldnt be back or the Lakers wont bring him back but if he's not back, I wouldnt be surprised nor outraged. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/lakers-frank-vogel-says-alex-caruso-merits-all-defensive-team-consideration-one-stat-could-stand-in-his-way/
Many metrics suggest that Caruso would be a deserving All-Defense selection. Fivethirtyeight's overall defensive RAPTOR rates Caruso as the best guard defender in the NBA and the sixth-best defender in all of basketball. He has the NBA's fourth-best defensive rating, trailing only three members of the Utah Jazz: Mike Conley, Georges Niang and Rudy Gobert. His defense on the biggest stage last season speaks for itself. The Lakers played Damian Lillard, James Harden and Jamal Murray in the Western Conference playoffs. All three saw meaningful statistical declines against the Lakers in large part because of Caruso.
He didn't play as many minutes this season, but he is certainly capable of playing top 5 defense.
I'm not sure how you could watch how we dismantled the top guards of the western conference in the bubble and not see how good he is on defense.
I hope we can keep him. He not only is a great defender, but has really good synergy with Lebron. |

Who in their right mind would give Drummond $15M a year? Kinda feels like Hollinger is way off again.
The Heat already have a max all star center. Drummond might go there but you aren't paying $15M for a backup center. So probably something significantly cheaper. |
