Thanks for laying out the path to keep Monk.
Hopefully we trade Westbrook for a contract like Ben Simmons to keep us a little further from the hard cap.  |

Thanks Eric for the insight.
Based on your info, I'm hoping that the Lakers
Use the tax payer mid level exception (so the hard cap doesn't kick in) and on a handshake deal, the Lakers take care of him later (although I'm not sure how much the Lakers like him)
Of course if Perlinka can pull a rabbit out his hat, having Westbrook traded would be ideal. |

I think it's a reasonably high chance that the Lakers can keep Monk
but the team needs to improve - and if the TMLE is used to keep the status quo - that's not really progressing.
