People always expect the Warriors to blow out the Lakers but it never works out that way. |

Could be Frank's last game as head coach if we're blown out. Sigh. |

Yeah. My thinking's evolved on this a little. He's a lame-duck coach anyways, no way will he be offered a new contract at season's end, so he's as good as gone. Therefore the team may as well make a move right now rather than season's end. (Less comfortable for the FO, tough pill to swallow for ownership as well).
Look at it this way, there's a decent chance that the team has a "dead-cat bounce" and heads into the off-season with a bit of momentum because Westbrook may feel rejuvenated; he may actually give effort on defense for a different coach.
(This is not to say that I dislike Vogel, he has his warts but I'm the kind that believes that excellence is rare and constructing a league-leading defense is excellence. It's unwise to give up on excellence, I'd much rather try to shore up the weaknesses). |

There is absolutely no point firing Vogel right now, wait until the season is over, there is approximately 2 months left until we are done with this train wreck then we can start cleaning the house and revamping the roster |

Points in firing Vogel?
- tackling problems earlier rather than later is always better
- ownership gains clarity as to where *ALL* the problems lie (personnel? scheme? both?) and where the solutions are? (coach? coaching staff? management? Klutch? advisory-board?)
- good chance Westbrook plays *meaningfully* better viz. defense/coverages/attention not just offense
- maybe the overall team plays better than sub .500
- a decent chance that team morale improves, there's a risk that festering problems will create toxicity
- the team devises a better offensive scheme than the current 24th in the league despite having LBJ+AD+Monk+Melo
What are the down-sides other than the ones I've already noted? |

Why fire Frank now, he's playing the hand he was dealt? I don't think he's a great HC and should be demoted but not in the middle of the season.
IMO if anyone should be fired it should be Rob Pelinka. Also, Kurt and Linda Rambis if they actually hold paying positions.

If I have it right Vogel is currently under contract with the Lakers until 2023. I'm not versed in contracts. Does that mean untill the end of 23? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I think judging Fizzy by his coaching earlier this season when everything was chaos with Covid and everybody was in an out including Fizdale himself is a mistake. Because that was obviously just a losing situation.
That said I don't think firing Vogel and replacing him with anybody at this point in the season is really the answer.
I think we're just kind of stuck for now and we'll see what happens by the end of the season. |

Magic and Pelinka always kept the dubs in mind. Similar to how the Clippers build their team to beat the Lakers. |

My understanding is that next season (2022-2023) is the final year of obligation/contract for Vogel, WB and LBJ assuming no opt outs, no trade/cut/buyout/firing…. |

This is the last game I give them. Either figure it out against the best team in the league or fold.
This is a must win
I will not watch another game if they lose tonight... Do or die |

Firing Vogel would just be so on point for the front office. Continue dismantling the championship team a piece at a time. Front office still seems like they are learning their coach and the players he needs. New systems, new coach (who?) we probably go sideways more.
They do need a vibe change for sure. |
