I have to imagine he's genuinely hurt. He's in a contract year, so why would he be malingering when his big pay day has not come at all?
I think if he was healthy, there's an argument he would start right now over Russ. But we have no viable option outside of starting Russ right now so here we are.
Technically since he has a player opt in that he is definitely picking up, he is not in a contract year until next season.
Those saying he always knew, he was going to be injured, IDK. I mean didn't he play in training camp?
From October.
Some dribbling in transition.
Corner 3.
Transition wing 3.
Screen and Roll botched play as a ballhandler.
Fake 3 and strong drive in traffic.
Etc.
Looking at that highlights, he sure looked like he was going to be a better version of Avery Bradley for us.
Not even thinking this will happen based on our season, but one of the key issues with the group this year is the lack of activity rate of these guys around the stars (AD/Bron/WB).
If Nunn is able to do what I saw in the video above, you're going to have a pretty energetic group of guys around AD/Bron/WB.
Reaves (23)
Monk (23)
Nunn (26)
THT (21)
Stanley (26)
That's 5 guys who are quite young and could really go all in on both ends of the floor. Now the issue is chemistry, lack of time with AD/Bron etc. But you certainly would have some young fresh legs that could take advantage of the higher paced offense we play and as well do more of what Frank needs on defense.
Of course this all wishful thinking, probably. We don't know if AD will be back at 100% and we don't know if Nunn will be back at all. And then, even if they do return at 90% or so by April 1, it still leaves us with the Westbrook not buying in/fitting in dilemna.
Brady retired & unretired
BLo is back from a bad back
Dunn said he’ll have nonne of that being done talk
And our guy is still shelved…yikes

ESPN Sources: Three months after back surgery, Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez will return to lineup vs. the Utah Jazz on Monday (ESPN, 10 PM ET). Lopez, out since opening night, should make an impact for a defense outside of top 10 for first time under coach Mike Budenholzer.

Woj: The Trail Blazers are signing guard Kris Dunn to a 10-day hardship deal, sources tell ESPN. Dunn gives the Blazers some backcourt depth with Anfernee Simons out 1-to-2 week

Billy Mac says on the @SpectrumSN broadcast that both AD and Kendrick Nunn were working out "extensively" before today's game. Stu added that Nunn was shooting the lights out.

Yep. I mentioned this myself during the game thread. It stood out to me when BillyMac said it because there was all types of footage posted of AD's pre-game shooting/workout, but nothing of Kendrick. You might say, Nunn .
Why don't the Lakers rule him out for the season? This is pretty weird. Wouldn't we get a hardship exemption?
If AD comes back and they get the 8 seed, Nunn could come back
Do we really think that he could? He has only been on the court to shoot, 1 time, since he has been out. I don't know of his return is plausible, for the this season at this point.
