Christie was ranked very high in high school but didn’t do much at Michigan State. Not a very good athlete and not a good shooter. Liddell, seems to be to be the perfect small ball 4/5 in todays NBA. |
Not a very good athlete? Christie had the top three-quarter sprint at the combine and a 38 inch vertical leap |

Max reminds me Klay Thompson, on the way he shoots and move on the court. Hope he can develop into a knock down shooter like Klay.

Looks like another steal for the Lakers. Can't wait to see how he does in summer league. |

Then he didn’t use it much at Michigan State. He plays far slower off the dribble. Didn’t showcase any blow by ability. He’s a development pick |

I agree that EJ Liddell would have been the safe pick. He gives me Draymond vibes and is the perfect 4/5 for the modern game. Seems like everyone wants to hit the homerun these days, but I hope it does work out for the Lakers. However, given their drafting history, they probably saw something in Max that other teams overlooked. |

I’m sure he was nailing those 3’s and reminding Rob of Kobe with amazing post moves and footwork 💖 _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

The more I've looked into his game, the more I like this pick.
Looks like a legit 6'6 shooting guard, with a long frame. He's apparently a plus defender and coming from Michigan State, a team know for hustle and defense.
I think he has one of the most fluid and pretty jumpers in the draft. I think his 32% from 3 was an anomaly and I can see him being a good 3 point shooter. The comp I'm hoping for is prime Danny Green. I read in college he was tasked with guarding the other team's best perimeter player. His frame looks like it can definitely take on a bunch of weight and muscle too. Really intrigued by this pick and we have some nice young talent at guard on this team now (THT, Reaves, Christie). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Draymond Green has already spoken. Not sure what Steve Smith has to say yet 😂😂😂 _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

Nicely said. I’m excited to see what he can do in Summer League. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

To me he seems like a player who does well with other better players, rather than in the chaos of summer league. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I mean, it's the 35th pick.
And our scouting department has done a good job in the late 1st/2nd/undrafted. I trust that they did their homework on him. He does fill a need we've been trying to fill since KCP was traded. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Looking at his build, he's too skinny to be Chris Christie's son. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

After calming down last night (and a little drinking), the pick is still bad, but not as bad as I made it out to be.
He’s still not gonna be ready to contribute this year despite needing young contributors NOW. And it’s still a shooter that can’t shoot yet at a position we have a lot of already.
With all that said, I wish nothing but the best for the kid and hope he proves me wrong. I would love nothing more than to eat crow and see him have immediate success. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Pretty sure Austin Reaves is supposed to fill that KCP void no? _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

I think Austin is a better ballhandler and creator. Christie a better shooter. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I get that, but it’s also just two guys playing the same position. Unless we are expecting Reaves to play PG now. And even then, we currently have Westbrook and Nunn for that. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |
