He was the one hurt the most by the Russ acquisition
He’s been an on ball player his whole life and that is his skill set. Having him play off ball is just not effective.
His only shot at getting PT is if his defense and shooting get better.
If I had to bet on it, I think he’s moved this off-season if Russ is not. |
Crazy that the Lakers would prioritize someone they’ve been trying to trade all last season over a 21 year old who can improve. |
Ridiculously dumb.
Whether it was media or the FO, it was made known that they didn’t wanna trade him unless for a star. Even being reported they didn’t wanna trade him for Lowry.
The narrative that they kept him over Caruso.
All the hype and support from the FO but then acquire Russ who is in the same position.
If we got Hield last year I’m pretty confident THT has a good season. |

LeBron wanted a ball handler to take the pressure off of him. Chris Paul was the first choice and when they couldn't get him they traded for Westbrook. Buddy hield wasn't what LeBron was looking for a ball-handler. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Which is even dumber considering THT is that ball-handler, and add in the fact that we won our 2020 title when Lebron was the damn point guard. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Gotta stick with him for this year at least. Last year was the year to trade him, he had a rough year so his value probably isn't that high. You see what he can do, and if it doesn't work out you can make some moves with Russ off the books. But I think he comes back strong. |

Keldon Johnson was from the same draft class as THT. If Im THT, I look at that 39.8% from 3 and know my path to $$. Drives to the rim are great and all, but an easy 3 is even better. Hope he puts the work in to improve like Lonzo, BI, Thomas Bryant, Clarkson, DLO, and Randle. 2-3 made 3s a game moves him from a 10 point a game player to a 17-19 point a game scorer. That’s the jump. |

Keep forgetting this kid is only 21, feels like he’s been with us forever lol. I’m good with keeping THT, WB should be gone so we’ll see what he can do with the minutes (the FA signings don’t seem better than him, maybe Nunn). Breakout season for THT and AR-15 |

Dumping “No Expectations” Russ in any way would make this a successful off season. |

that he "can't do what he did last year" and is looking forward to putting on a better performance with Hometown Favorites this time around.

Haha it is so not good. I don't mind the turnovers, but his shooting percentage amongst non elite defenders, where they are even barely playing defense is just not good. He's stinking up a rec league. |

1/8 from 3 against a bunch of 24 hour fitness managers? That’s encouraging |

No surprise there. His shooting percentage wasn't even good during his time with South Bay. |
