there are other guys that can score, he doesn't need to be focusing on scoring as much as he needs to on defense. since he thought he was some sort of star a few years back, his head ballooned and stopped playing D. this guy needs to get back to basics and be an asset on the defensive end

I never got the impression his head ballooned or he thought he was a star but I will say when your main veteran star players you're learning from are a nearing 40 year old Bron who can't consistently be a 2 way player at all anymore and then Russ who has not only said f$%k defense altogether well over a decade ago but he's also one of the lowest iq star players as well it's not really being emphasized to him which opens up the bad habits. Not a good look when both of those guys also take away the best parts of your game as well.
It's still on THT to get better regardless but let's not pretend there's been some major road blocks recently to say the least. It's still a toss up who THT becomes at this point but as usual with our young players i'd expect him to likely look significantly better on a new team if he does get moved soon.
If he can’t defend this year, he serves no purpose being on this team. _________________ Author of James Harden and the Strip Club

THT has a lot of potential but the Lakers are not going to spend the time to bring him up. They want to win now and he's a guy that needs the ball to be effective. Besides his defense imho is just ok.
I wasn't exactly the biggest advocate of THT, but LA clearly isn't the place for young talent, unless you are 17 year old Kobe. As I've reiterated over and over again, social media just makes it 10x worse for these young kids. I think he'll fare much better in Utah. Imagine the trash he had to read every day on twitter. Now he'll have next to none of that in Utah, so I feel happy for him.
