There was a report out there that Austin Reaves was told to work on his point guard skills this summer as he may be asked to play point next season. _________________ Darvin Ham is an idiot! |

Only 3 that were from the corner areas. Most were from the wings. Which is great as you can have lesser shooters park in the corners while you scheme for him in other areas if you want.
Only 2 … two … would I classify as unchallenged where someone couldn’t get there to put up some kind of challenge. |
hands in face rarely bothers him. there were some misses by him that were in and outs. the kid can shoot. we have 2 of the best playmakers in this generation (assuming WB isn't traded), and i see a lot of benefit by putting him in the big squad instead of Southbay. he can be a great sub and specialist. |

Personally, right now I'd pencil Swider and Reaves as starters, even if they aren't really that good. We need some team chemistry and some players that will play off AD/Bron. I doubt Ham will go this way, and likely I see us starting two of the FA signings. |
I guess it depends on who Reaves is next to at the PG. If it's Russ, we probably need a better shooter...although I think Reaves is taking a bump in his 3PT% this year. But still. If it's Kyrie, I'm all for starting Reaves to get that better team D in the mix and take on the point of attack at times.
Swider, I just don't see as a good option going up against other starters defensively. There are a few opponents he could fit, but I have concerns there. Plus, I think our starting lineups go big. |

Swider had a great summer league, but it remains to be seen how he does against the much higher level of competition you face once the regular season starts.
He might pan out, he might not.
Hield, in contrast, is a proven NBA shooter. |

Yeah this is a good point it’s not the Swider might end up being a decent NBA player it’s that he hasn’t done it yet whereas buddy has there is no rule that says that we can’t have multiple good three point shooters on the team |

Man, if he can try to be a net 0 on defense his shot making is gonna get him minutes. So confident with his stroke. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

For a while I thought you were just joking. But after reading this a few times, it seems you really believe it. What part of his game are you comparing with Dirk's? _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

Yeah, he has to improve a great deal defensively but at least his shot is legit.
A few months in the G-League will do him good. He's just needs NBA experience. |

I like the guy but it all depends on what he does on the defensive side of the ball. He will be tested in the NBA and the scouts will find his weaknesses. |

Yeah because that totally indicates how the player performed, and how it’s all his fault and totally not biased and reliant on how the 4 players next to him on the court did.
Surprised you of all people made a post like this. Especially considering what Swider brings to the table unlike literally any other player on this team. And he is not at all labeled as some savior, just someone of his talent that we desperately need considering the rest of the roster construction. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Yeah, his outside shooting didn't open driving lanes, but instead contributed to the blowout.
That second half reminded me of the first round loss to Phoenix. They get behind and start jacking 3 rather than attack the rim. That should have been a timeout and an adjustment by Darvin, but he let it play out. |

The guards were struggling badly. Ham burned two timeouts during that stretch because the turnovers/playmaking were killing them. Swider's had at least two set plays called for him (doesn't require guards to playmake). Another three was off one of their standard offensive flows out of their sets that didn't require playmaking, just a dribble pitch back. Be nice to see him get some minutes with some real playmakers out there. |

Not looking good for Cole. He’s been horrible against NBA speed. Might need some time. |
