Quote: | Lakers say center Thomas Bryant underwent surgery on his left thumb and will be re-evaluated in three weeks. |

Man this is getting kind of weird. I don’t remember any time in 30 years of being a fan that there is this many injuries and this much concern around injuries. It was the main focus of preseason and now two rotational people have surgeries before the season actually even begun? It’s also season after season it seems. Is it just me or is (bleep) getting weird? |

Those rebounds must be coming in hot!
In related news, brick layers are now called thumb slayers in the LA market.
Also, a re-evaluation will take place in 3-4 weeks for Schro & TB. They ain’t going to be back by then. If they are making favorable progress they could return within 3-4 weeks from that point. If not, typical returns are most likely sometime in mid December. An UCL repair prognosis is usually 3-4 months, but if internal augmented bracing/scaffolding is integrated during the repair surgery, it usually cuts that time in half for athletes (ie between 1-2 months). _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

Star player is old, 2nd best player has injury history. Injury about to be our new favorite word this year. Fudge it. Tankathon time. |

I mean this (bleep) happened with Lonzo, Ingram and the kids too. Last season it was Nunn and THT along with Bron and AD and seemingly everyone else. This year it’s DS and TBs. It’s just (bleep) weird. |

The entire point of getting so many centers was so that Davis WOULDN'T play center. With Bryant out then we just have Jones. But we could have also had Huff, which we should sign now. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

GUESS FOLKS WERE RIGHT - WESTBROOK
Per McTen
Russell Westbrook said he “absolutely” believes that coming off the bench against Sacramento contributed to him tweaking his hamstring in that game. “I’ve been doing the same thing for 14 years straight,” he said. “Honestly I didn’t even know what to do pregame.”

HAM AND THE WESTBROOK "INJURY"
Per Trudell
Darvin Ham was asked about Westbrook’s comments re: coming off the bench (at SAC), and how Russ thought that might impact his routine/health.
Ham said LAL would never put a player at risk. Added that he’s going to do “what’s best for our team to be as successful as we can be.”

Per McTen
D.Ham said he had a brief discussion with R.Westbrook after he said Ham bringing him off the bench “absolutely” could have played a part in his hamstring tweak in SAC. Ham said “we’ve moved on,” adding that he’ll A) Never put a player in harm’s way B) Do what’s best for the team

He's been out so long that I almost forgot Brown was still on the team. |
