Go Lakers, but if I had to put my money on it. Iβm going with the Pelicans. Iβm more worried for AD coming out of this healthy if anything. One bump from Zion or Valenchunas and AD will be grabbing his back in pain. Those guys are physical. I would give us a 35% chance to win if BI played, but since he wonβt. Iβll say 50%.

AD is an elite basketball player who's day to day playing status is a problem. Looking at his career status on games played is troubling.
I wonder if the Lakers took that into consideration and thought it would change. He's only had 2 75 games seasons. His average is around 60 games a season. LINK
The Pelicans are going to make some noise They'll be without Ingram tomorrow, because of a concussion. If Zion plays, whoever guards him has to make him go right. If he ever develops a right hand he will be unstoppable. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

^ indeed. I've been torn on the whole he's playing through that thing because on one hand yes he looks good when he can go and he's a definite difference maker because of his immense talent. However is his back issue being exacerbated by trying to stay out on the courts and is he cycling back into a day to Davis loop by trying to play. Β―\_(γ)_/Β― it is Le frustrating.
It was inspiring to see AD fight through his back pain and stay on the court last game. If it is just some muscle tightness maybe it's okay to play through it. If it's nerve/disk related that would be different. I'm just speculating though, not an MD and I don't have specific knowledge on his exact back issues. I have had herniated disks in my lower back and the associated nerve pain is debilitating until prolonged physical therapy improves it. Hope it's nothing like that.
I can say with 75% certainty that they know AD will get Hurt and miss more time if he plays against the physical likes of Zion and Valenchunas. He takes a charge from Zion and he will miss 30 + games minimum. You donβt want to get bumped by a 275 grown man if you have lower back issues.

If AD and Zion bump, they will both be out for the season
Yeah, this is not the matchup for a hobbled AD. I would rest him and concede the loss. You don't want him banging down-low with JV all game.
JV is ok, but Zion is a different story, actually nobody should enjoy banging with Zion, he is a freak, Lebron might be the only guy that can actually hold his ground against Zion.
