Yeah Hachimura needs to produce to justify that many picks.

Career 35% 3pt shooter. Shooting 34% this year on 3 attempts.
I think he'll be fine on offense.
My concern is his defense.

He's pretty decent, right?
Worth 3 2nd round picks? I assume yes.
He's part of the future, then I am good with it.
Nunn sucks...

3 2nd rd picks is way too much. Those picks will be in the 30’s. Robbed again. SMH

He's a RFA next year.
So not sure he'll be a part of our future haha.

Hachimura gives you slightly less production but maybe a little better shooting at a lower price than Kuzma.

The three 2nds just feels like an overpay again though.

Kuzma vs. Hachimura

I think Laker fans think we should get good/decent players for peanuts.
That's not how it works, folks.
If this dude is better than good, then not giving up 1st rounders sounds good to me. I don't care if it's 3 2nd rounders...

FYI:

Quote:

Quote:
Projected 2023/24 Offseason Laker Cap Sheet on a 136m Salary Cap
1. Bron 47.6m
2. AD 40.6m
3. Rui 18.8m (RFA caphold)
4. Damien (player option) 2.6m
5. MaxC 1.7m
6. 2023 1st pick swap w/NO ~3m (based on pick falling between #20-30)
7. Reaves RFA QO (β€œstarter criteria”* met) 6.3m
8-12. 5 incomplete roster (IR) charges 5.5m
= 126.1m in team salary
= 9.9m in cap space (if we renounce all our UFAs)
= 11.4m in cap space (if Damien opts out and is renounced as an UFA)
= 36.8m in cap space (if we purge everyone except for Bron & AD)
*to meet β€œstarter criteria” Austin would have to start in at least 41 regular season games or play at least 2000 minutes in total during the regular season; if he does not meet β€œstarter criteria”, his caphold shrinks to 2.1m and that gives back roughly 4.2m in cap space that can be used towards the numbers above (ie 14.1m in cap space w/Damien opt in & 15.6m in cap space with Damien player opt out)

6'8" and rugged. I loved him coming out of the draft.

Are the Wiz dumping a contract? Is he Restricted?

we did get 2 2nd round picks from the Wizards in the Russ trade, so we really didn't give up much

He just put up 30 against the Magic a few nights ago. I think this is a good get, specially if Lonnie leaves in FA, but we have to resign him to an extension to make up for all the 2nd round picks were giving.

he is restricted.
he is not an elite defender, but does provide size. allows Lebron to handle 3

As a Zag fan, I’m pumped. Hasn’t been able to consistently produce, but a change in scenery/teammates may be just what he needs to take the next step!

Can only imagine how crazy the media for him will be in LA, he is an icon in Japan if you’re not aware.
