Beasley is the wild card in this trade. He has been a good 3-point percentage shooter in the past, but this season he's at just 35.9 percent, and he's been in the low 30s since the new year.
If he gets back to the high 30s or, even better, the low 40s as a Laker, it would take this trade from a B+ to an A. |

Beasley is basically 6th man KCP so that's about what I'd expect. Top 15 three point shooter in the league, so solid get and a zone breaker. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Beasley has made the 3rd most 3's behind Buddy and Steph over the past 3 seasons. |

I think he is, but not with our projected starting 5 I think. I don't think he's good enough defensively. We probably want someone who can guard the best wing on the court out there and we don't want Lebron or DLo to have to do that.
But he is good scoring punch off the bench and will space the floor for Lebron for sure |

Quote: | [Cranjis] The Lakers acquired one of the NBA's best off-screen shooters in Malik Beasley | Only Klay and Bojan have scored more off-screen points than him this season. | He's also shot 42% on pull-up P&R 3s this season (his 3rd most frequent half court usage) |

What can we realistically expect from Beasley? He seems somewhat streaky, and he's not a great defender.
I feel like it's possible he doesn't work out well enough and the Lakers choose not to pick up his team option for next season. |

Very streaky shooter his numbers has gone down each month probably reason we were able to get him and vando for just 1 protected first.
It be interesting how Ham uses him and Walker... Beasley seems to pretty much shoot high volume 3s. He also look better as a starter high usage player compare to off the bench role player similar to Walker. |

Hope he doesn’t suddenly become a 33% 3pt shooter. How many 3pt shooters actually maintained their % or became better shooters on the Lakers in the last 25 years? Only one that comes to mind is Jodie Meeks. Anyone else? |

KCP actually got better after joining the Lakers.
Steve Nash believe it or not shot 43.8 percent in his first season here.
Vlad Radmanovic shot 40.6 percent here in 2007-08.
Robert Horry regained his shooting touch around 2001 or so. |

Beasley is on the verge of going to the next level! Let's hope his role on the Lakers allows him to flourish. He can create his own shot, get to the basket, knock down the 3 ball and if given the right motivation play adequate defense.
With DRuss distributing and finding the open man, LBJ and AD creating the space needed for real shooters/scorers, he should flourish here. Beasley also brings a bit of confidence and toughness to the game that this team needs!
I'm hoping he plays well on this Lakers squad and helps us get to the playoffs! |

Tough game shooting but that lineup with him, schroder, lw4, vandy, wenyon was flying around all over the place, and he made some nice plays at the rim to get us a nice lead. |

Shooters don’t have to make all the shots, him being out there means teams can’t afford to double off his guy. |

The threat of it makes such a difference.
Obviously he'll have to hit shots down the line, and I think he will. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

Yup. He’s 8th in threes made this year. Not worried. |

Each player need time for adjustment. Lets see how he is going to shot after 10 games as a Laker. If he can manage to be around 38-40% until the end I would take that 16 mil option.
If not not worth 16 mil by any means. You can find only shooter for less that 16 mil. |
