I was legit holding back tears. Really crazy. Didn’t even cry when my kids were born.
Observations from the game:
- Reaves is at minimum, a $12M/year player
- Schro’s deny D is incredible
- AD is a top 5 NBA player |

Amazing. Imagine what a great teammate he had to have been in such a short period of time in Chicago.
Such a beautiful night. |

Couldn't watch the game or the halftime ceremony, but I did catch most of the 4th quarter on the radio as I drove home. I just watched the ceremony on the link above. Great job by Pau. A well-deserved honor, for sure. And Vanessa looks stunning. |

It means more to me to see Pau's number retired than it did to see LBJ pass Kareem. |
Yep that was the other Lakers dynasty besides Showtime. A lot of Laker fans probably feel the same way. The Kobe era and everyone associated with it brought the franchise another 5 rings. |

Love Jimmy Buckets. He has a pretty cool Youtube channel. My man has a big career in content creation if he goes down that path post-retirement. _________________ KOBE |

What a wonderful and touching ceremony. Had me holding back tears as soon as Kobe's video came on. I think even Tanter's voice was breaking.
Thank you, Pau, for all you've done for this franchise. Muchas gracias, nunca nos vamos a olvidarte. |

Thank you Pau, for the rings, for being exemplary, for being around kobe's family in difficult times, and most of all, for dropping that chowderheads reference/game7 _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

It was special, as was that time, as is Pau as a person and player.
Pau connection with his teammates and even the teammate he lost, how he’s been there for them after, it shows you sometimes those sports cliches of a brotherhood are really true.
Anytime you hear Phil, Pau, Lo, Artest, Sasha, Fish talk about each other you can just feel the legit love and brotherhood.
Pau was a special player that changed the course of the Lakers franchise that was floundering with an all time GOAT level player in his prime. The very first game you felt there was something special there. He deserves this. |

Yeah, there’s no group like that here during the mercenary era. Only guy like that was Javale, tbh. |

As fans, we were incredibly lucky to have that group of players. They were a complicated, occasionally tortured collection of personalities -- Odom, Kobe, and Artest in particular -- and Pau's inherent goodness seemed to somehow unite them. It meant so much to see them fight their way to those rings. |

Amazing moment in Laker history. Pau one of the most classy and committed players Lakers will ever have. Deserved all this and more.
Actually once players like this are gone you appreciate them even more.
I am just curios. Does someone knows if Odom was in the crowd during the ceremony? And also no one mentioned Phil. I am surprised he didn't came. |

I was in attendance, and sitting very close to Pau and his family.
In the building: James Worthy, Jose Calderon, Marc Gasol, Vanessa Bryant, Jeannie Buss, Rob Pelinka, Jimmy Butler, Gary Vitti
On the big screen with a video for Pau: Vanessa Bryant, Derek Fisher, MWP, Phil Jackson, Sasha Vujacic, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson
Not as many players attended as I hoped to see, and really surprised Phil, Odom and Bynum weren’t there. |
