This team is good. Really good. Need a full off season together. I dont have faith in Ham but hopefully with a year under his belt he'll get a better feel.
He's a great motivator that is evident. Motivation without direction only takes you so far though. |

This is a great example of why the Lakers need to avoid the play-in game. At any given game they can play like crap and give up 71 pts in a half.
What a crap show! |
Yep because at any point you can have Ham go brain dead and make aweful rotations and blantly see AD or LBJ play awful and he got no feel or balls to sit them down win the game. |
No team sits down there top stars no team in the league no matter how badly they’re playing
In all honesty, what he should’ve done was sit them for this game, knowing that they were tired |

This era is basically cardio lol. Back then it was slowpaced when your 4 and 5 can be big men. |
This is most accurate. The game is faster now.
We didn’t just struggle because of back to back, we also struggled with first game back after a long road trip. Top that with the building momentum Ty Lue and the Clipps have over us.
There was no chance. |
ah folks beat me to it lol but yeah... these are my thoughts as well |

We're on a B2B and they've had a 4 day rest.
Clippers aren't a bad team they're stacked with offense. Also Ham should probably stop letting teams shoot open shot. |
We're a playin team, Lebron is gonna have to figure out how to play without excessive rest, otherwise what's the use. I don't like excuses. Lakers had all day to rest. Adrenaline should have kicked in. Competitiveness and the will to overcome should have motivated these lakers. As the ol saying goes, fatigue makes normal players cowards, and great players heroes. |
Dude this team is actually really (bleep) good that we've got right now. This team is still gelling and it's going to need a full off season to get completely right.
most of all the coach needs to get his (bleep) head straight.
you DO NOT play Wenyen against Zubac when we've got Bamba back.
Also you do NOT wait until the 7 minute mark in the 4Q to bring AD back in. Kawhi was in there for the entire second half. Given how bad Wenyen looked AD should have been back way sooner.
Im going to keep saying it. If Vogel was still coaching our record would be better. I'd wager it'd be much better.
But this is what we got. So i'll stand behind Ham and hope he figures it out. |
Mr Ham made some mistakes, but what about all the turnovers by Lebron? The misses shots. The poor defensive rotations. At some point, you have to look at the players. These players, rested or not, played exactly the way they always play against the Clippers...like dog (bleep). That's why we've lost all these games to the Clippers. There are NO excuses! |
Then as a coach you have to grow some and sit your star player down because he hurting the team and game. |
You expect a rookie coach to tell King James what to do? Good luck with that. Mr. Ham wants to stay employed for as long as he can. |

It helps when Westbrook is on and eager to put up points, he can take plays off on offense. And then with a 20 plus lead he can take defensive plays off as well.
Westbrook was a nice pickup for them |

The officiating was horrendous. Norman Powell had no intention of shooting the basketball, just violently swinging his head and arms. And the officials rewarded him every single time.
And the momentum blow from the officials erroneously blowing the whistle on the Lakers break was massive. Instead of being down 6, the Lakers were down 10 and could never get closer. It wasn’t over, but the officials ensured no run could be made by sending Powell to the stripe. |

This was not a matchup for Wenyen, and I’m shocked Ham and the staff didn’t figure that out in the first half. He clearly couldn’t handle Zubac. Lakers were down 4 when he was subbed into the game in the 1st and the lead ballooned to nearly 20 with him on the court. Once again, he comes in to start the 4th and the lead immediately explodes.
Bamba should have played in this game. |

I personally don’t want Anthony Davis going against guys like Zubac, who totally outweigh him and are shot blockers I thought that’s why we brought in Bamba |

Then he doesnt deserver to be a coach. All player want to play the whole game without coming out...but its up to the coach to be that breaker and that person to whip them back to reality if they having a suck game or not playing to there full potential. Sometimes you have to cuddle their ego like Mark Jsckson and sometimes you have to go BOBBY KNIGHT on them. |
Sure just name the coach that the Lakers would actually hire that you believe would do that to LeBron James
Some people just don’t live in reality |
Should have Kept Vogal and gave him FULL CONTROL. That means benching a bum thats destroying a team and that goes especially for that FAKE KING. AD playing soft? bench him. Bease not shooting right? Guess the answer..BENCH.
Getting ran off the court? Call a timeout...
One player playing better than another? Put the better player in>..
Whats the problem? |
Live in reality |
So you saying Ham is a great choice and his rotations have been great, annnnd he has no fault in this game it on the players only? Yeah keep in that "reality" of yours.,.....pft lol! |
Save your breath..he's a Ham defender. |
