Piggybacking off of 32's point guard post. I like Magic. He does more than shoot. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Ring 1 vs LeBron:
LeBron rolled out:
Matt Dellavedova at PG
Mozgov at C
Shumpert at SG
Tristan Thompson at PF
Ring 2: +KD
Ring 3: +KD
I give Steph props for Ring 4 though. |

Magic has him in MVPs, FMVPs, rings, All NBA first teams, total All NBA teams, individual titles (scoring/assist/rebound/steal/block champ), basically all of it says Magic. Both can dominate offensively, Magic with his playmaking and scoring, Curry with his shooting and gravity.
Curry is great indeed but there is levels to this _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

2016 he played hurt and lost Green for a crucial game, during which they also lost Bogut. And it's a different game with Lebron and Kyrie and no rim protection. And 2019 ofcourse they lost KD and Klay. But yeah, 2017-2019 they were the most stacked team _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

This is all based on a silly SAS clickbait rant. Everyone agrees Magic is the best PG of all time. There isn't any kind of real debate or argument going on here. |

Yes, but this poll is not about Curry and Magic. It's about GOAT. Notice it also has OTHERS. Again if you choose others please say who and if you will explain. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

PG
Magic - 1
Steph - a mile down below at 2
Whomever is 3 is also questionable. Thomas? Nash? CP3? Stockton?
SG
MJ - 1
Kobe - 2
Whomever is 3 is a mile down. Also unsure who it would be. West, Manu, Wade?
SF
LeBron
Bird
Whomever is 3 is a mile down. I don't even know who it would be. Durant? Baylor? Dr. J?
PF
Duncan
Giannis? KG? Dirk? #2 isn't insanely far off from Duncan but I would say there is no consensus #2.
Center is the hardest one. KAJ/Wilt/Russell/Shaq are pretty close IMO. Throw in Hakeem as well. |

Objectively speaking, I think Magic is legitimately a better basketball talent than Steph. Magic - without the benefit of the three point line posted scoring efficiency numbers almost right on line with Steph. Now add the three point shot to Magic's arsenal. Why do I say this? Because if you watch Magic's shot, you can easily see that if Magic practiced it nonstop, he could easily shoot 40%+ from three just like how he steadily improved his free throw shooting from low 80s to the 90s range. Magic's three ball is effortless and has good arc - two tell-tale signs that his shooting form is repeatable. I mean the second year, he prioritized three point shooting to even a little extent, he shot 38% from three in 1989/90. Like between Magic and Michael, had both focused on three point shooting, I am much more confident in saying Magic would be likely to be the great outside shooter than Jordan because of Jordan's two motion flat three ball trajectory that places more stress in force as Jordan is rising up to take his shot. Magic's three ball shot just looks effortless. |

Why do we need to rank people all the time. They are all great players with there strength and weaknesses. These discussions lead nowhere. |

3 at PG for me is Thomas because he actually got it done with a team with really no other great players in a very competitive era. Thomas has the worst numbers of the group but in money time, I wouldnt put Thomas below any of the other guys.
3 at SG is Wade for me. Those regular season Kobe vs Wade battles were fun and tbh, Wade's talent and clutchness is almost right up there with Kobe. Plus I remember Wade could actually defend Bryant pretty good as he had the strength to not get pushed around when Kobe backed him down and length to contest Kobe's shots.
3 at SF is Durant over Dr. J who always had a shaky jumper.
At PF, I give #2 to Giannis. In terms of talent, I put Giannis clearly ahead of Duncan and any power forward but respect must be given to actual accomplishments. #3 would be a battle between KG, Nowitzki and Malone
At Center, you go by accomplishments, its Jabbar. You go by real basketball talent, this is a no-brainer - Shaq followed by Wilt. It definitely is no coincidence that Wilt led 2 of the greatest teams ever assembled in 1967 76ers and 1972 Lakers when he served more as a connective glue force on offense without hogging the shots and was an absolute menace on defense.

Is Logo considered a point guard or shooting guard? May explain the “other” vote. Or maybe our resident Boston C’s homer voted for Bob Cousy. |

LOL. I came this close to listing Cousey. In West's day, there were just guards. Many consider him to be a point/shooting guard. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
