I think Malone’s whining is annoying, but the man has a point. I find it lame that LeBron and Kyrie can’t let the Finals play out without making it about themselves all the time. As if they don’t get enough attention.
Yeah have to wonder if it’s on purpose at this point lol.
Yes! I really hate all of the efforts to make some simplistic cookie cutter conclusion.
The same thing happened in the Lakers series when Jokic had a quiet 4th quarter and the media rushed to say that Rui was the Jokic stopper. It’s unfair to both players to do that stuff and it also sets Spoelstra up for future bulletin board material if he doesn’t shut the question down like this.

I still don't get how we couldn't win at least one game vs the Nuggets. The Heat are not as good as us.
Not overall but they have shooters, who all made shots last night. Unfortunately in todays NBA…whoever makes more 3s most times will be the victor, any advantage elsewhere can be negated simply by a couple of role players having a good shooting night.

Game 2 and 4 were definitely there for the taking for the Lakers. Could have easily been 2-2 series but it just came down to the luck of the roll in these games. Denver could have easily been up 2-0 on the Heat right now.
It's something called RNG (randomness), something that nobody could control. A team could control its gameplan and execution but it cannot control the randomness of the flight and bounce of the ball. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024

Although I am admittedly oversimplifying, you could look at this one stat and it can be argued to answer all:
Game decided by 3 points, took Miami shooting out of this world from 3. Nugs also beefed up their 3 point shooting with that run towards end of 4th. _________________ "One thing I admire about Kuzma is his unwavering confidence. He truly has no idea that he’s not as good as he thinks." - Killer_Z

Well it was pretty interesting to see Steve Kerr on the Draymond Green show after game two. Kerr watched the game and Green brought up Jokic only had four assists and Kerr said exactly what Ramona did, that the Heat decided to make Jokic a scorer and that they decided that Murray is the head of the snake that they need to try and limit him because it's too difficult to stop Jokic.
I agree that Spo shut it down because he doesn't want bulletin board material but he was wrong, or he was lying, saying only an untrained eye would say that because Kerr said it too.

Gonna need all you untrained eyes to shut it and sit back and watch as the Heat win the championship. The leadership of Pat Riley Jr will prevail.
I'm not on board for giving Riley that much credit. But I've been betting Heat all playoffs. And I've made alot of $. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Miami won't pull this off. Denver is much more talented. But I'll be rooting for the Heat and hoping for a miracle. Nuggets had huge breakdowns on defense leaving 3pt shooters wide open and fouling 3 pt shooters. And the Heat caught them off guard playing with more force to start the game than they had in the last game. That bad start and the really bad defensive breakdowns cost them the game. Nuggets will correct those things. KCP was really bad in this game too. He has been playing so well for them.
The most talented team doesn't always win. Sometimes the team that wants it more does. The Heat may want it more. Miami has been underdogs since the season began. Not many expected them to come this far. I didn't. I'm not counting them out till a closeout game calls it. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

People are watching. This series is getting interesting.
And game 3 is so vital that the winner goes on to win the championship 80% of the time:

Another fun fact: When the NBA Finals are tied 1-1, the team that wins Game 3 goes on to win the title 80% of the time (32-8 series record), according to ESPN Stats & Info. That trend hasn't held up recently, though, as Game 3 winners have a 4-4 series record since the 2010 Finals.

Ya, I saw that too.
I wish we were in the Finals right now. On the verge of winning another chip.
But this Finals is actually more enjoyable for me to watch than last years. Last year, I was worried about Boston winning a chip and pulling ahead of us on the championship count. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Any other team besides the Heat, I would agree.
I think you have to throw away the rule book when it comes to them. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
How do you rank Popovich, Spoelstra, Lue, Nurse, Mike Malone, Rick Carslisle, and Mike Brown? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Paul George did a podcast recently. Said the majority of players in the league are just good at basketball. But they don't love ball. It's just a job. That's why some players last with the Heat and some don't. To make it there, basketball has to be more than just a job. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
