An interesting aspect of the guys who cover the league like Charania & Woj. is that they specialize in "BREAKING NEWS". A headline that gets us down right horny to read what happened. Being first to report it.

A recent story in the Wall Street Journal delved into how much influence these guys, and other credible journalists, have on folks. Specifically, when it comes to betting. With the ability to bet on professional sports, people are looking for an edge or advantage to make money off of insider info.

Recently, Shams apparently tweeted that Charlotte was going to take Scoot at No.2 after everyone assumed that it was Miller. Of course he was wrong. It resulted in folks who follow Shams losing big.

The most interesting aspect of it all is that not many folks who follow Shams, somewhere around 2mil, are aware that he's both a writer for The Athletic, and an employee of Fan Duel, which is of course a betting agency.

His tweet caused folks to flock to get in on the action. It was right before the draft started so they didn't have much time to ponder the info. Shams was their security. He was wrong and they lost big. And he got paid by both parties.

Talk about a way to manipulate folks and make money hand over fist. Damn!

Wait, you mean there are no guaranteed wins when you gamble and sometimes you lose when you think you should win? This is outrageous. Somebody needs to be arrested
