Uhh, a total spanking at the hands of Germany. Slovenia started on fire and got what they wanted in the 1st Q. We had a 25-11 lead and the Germans looked completely lost. I can't really pinpoint the exact reason for what transpired in the following three quarters, but I hope our boys flush this one down the toilet and bring their A game on Wednesday against Canada.

I am watching the game right now while I'm cleaning my pathetic excuse for an office and Luka is clearly hurt. Not sure what's going on there but he's been in visible discomfort pretty much since the game started. That's unfortunate

And sorry Nobody. I was worried as soon as I saw Luka seemingly hurt in that other game.

EDIT: oh that's weak! (I'm watching the game rn)

Doncic complained about the refs, a lot of times there was no replay so not sure if justified or not. FTs atleast seem to be lopsided

Here's the play that resulted in his ejection. Great non-call by the officials. I can't speak for the rest of the game. That said, Luka is one of my favorite players but the dude is in a class of his own as far as constantly whining.

As far as the free throw disparity...Team Canada has Shai who's a god-level foul merchant for most of his career. He had 16 free throws alone.

Yeah, pretty disappointing loss, but objectively speaking we had no business getting past the QF with such an imperfect roster. So kudos to our guys for putting up one hell of a fight against Canada and the officiating crew.

Yes, Luka whines a ton, and I think we were all fed up with him. The ejection was of course valid because that was not a foul. He let his teammates down big time if you ask me.

BUT.

The criteria was uneven from the start. Brooks and Dort were allowed to body him up from the catch. They were allowed to illegally impede his progress and movement. They held, puched and smacked him across the arms.

Meanwhile SGA waltzed his way around the floor and got FTs for every breath our defenders took his way.

So yeah, Canada obviously has the better team and they outplayed our guys. But the officiating was shameful. One ref supposedly even admitted that they won't call a foul on Brooks because Luka keeps whining. Brooks had one personal foul in the 1st half. And that one foul was an elbow to the face of some other player (not Luka).

Anyway, he's got to do better and he will have to learn to control his emotions.

I guess I'm rooting for USA/Serbia at this point. Can't stand the Germans or Canadians.

Had some money on the US/Germany game

Tuned in to watch the tail end of this game to see Jaren Jackson do multiple goal tends. Like does homie not know the rules? He kept touching the backboard when going for blocks.. he did it another time toward the end but the refs missed it. Homie needs to kick rocks. Those goal tends decided the game.

Only bright side I got out of this is the Lakers are in good hands with Austin Reeves. He's clearly the 2nd best player out there after Anthony Edwards.

^ANT killed me. He lost composure for real for real.

Anywhoo Germany has had "that look" all tournament and then SERB has apparently been killing it so that should be a good Final game.

Fun tournament. Didn't like either team playing in the finals, but it was an entertaining matchup, nonetheless.
