Lakers were clutch and went 17-19 from the free throw line in the last 3:59 (Raptors were 0-0 during that time)so even with all of their crazy shot making toward the end, they couldn’t catch up.
The flagrant foul call to wipe out Quickleys layup (and take him out of the game) and the offensive foul call to wipe out that other Raptors 3 in the last few minutes were both enormous calls.
Sometimes every whistle just goes one teams way. |

If the Raptors complain to the league office I’m gonna be shocked if a lot of calls doesn’t go our way against the Suns |

When's the last time all starters had double digit scoring... It seems like a rare occasion these days. |

The Raptors just beat the Warriors by 30 didn't they and have been playing well? | The raptors are a tough team. They have size, speed, shooting and defense. They are not an easy win and they have been playing well. I think they will make the play in and possibly playoffs. |

Bron at starting PG and Russell as the backup works well
DLo definitely needs more minutes (and consistently) but the structure work _________________ #18 next... |

They’re looking better since the trade, weirdly enough (given OG’s IMO one of the highest quality role player-type starters in the league) _________________ #18 next... |

Have AR come off the bench and just score.
Start Max over Cam. You can still play Cam, just Max makes the starting lineup more dynamic offensively while not losing much defensively.
I'd like to see Rui start over Taurean if the above changes are made, but I doubt that ever happens |
Hard disagree with Russell over Reaves starting. Russell needs more than 17 minutes, but Reaves shouldn't be score-first. He should be all around connector/finisher/initiator next to LeBron, picking his spots. I saw Reaves cut off Schroder drives tonight, get 7 assists and 0 turnovers. Sure his shot was off, but I'm not worried about that.
I think you guys need to go back and watch last years' playoffs. |
You shouldn't think of it as a negative thing coming off the bench. It is actually a really positive thing that we are lacking now, scoring punch off the bench.
We have a guy whose best role is playmaking coming off the bench with guys who lack scoring ability. Why not have the guy with better scoring ability come off the bench with the folks who struggle at that? Seems logical.
AR doesn't even have to get a playing time hit when coming off the bench, he could still close games. But by the time he is closing he has a better rhythm offensively. Think Ginobilii or Jamaal Crawford or Lou Williams. Anyone who thought they weren't starting because they were bad players or being punished is silly. |

They were intentionally fouling so it makes sense.
FT disparity doesn't have to be equivalent anyhow, that isn't what makes officiating good or bad. It is if touching a player on the forearm is a foul on one end, it should be the same on the other. Do teams touch each other an equivalent amount throughout the game? I think that happens very rarely. Especially with teams playing offense and defense differently from each other.
The "FT disparity" talk seems to be more driven by box scores than by people watching the game. |

I hate it when coaches use the intentional foul total in their rant about how the FT disparity was so wide, lol. Dude lost his mind. Classic. |

The Lakers have reeled off two "w's" in a row.
Needless to say, both teams played well offensively.
I'm glad we won but we won't beat the top teams unless we play elite level defense every night. Tonight was not one of those nights.
The two teams combined for 97-175 FG. (55.5%) & 33-71 from 3PT. (47.&%).
Kudos! Keep it going LA!! Good, much needed win!....... GO LAKERS!! |
