In the last 15 games, what has changed their past inept efficiency (having the 2nd most postups (409) AST% of just 5.2% on their post-ups (25th) to having the AST% jumping to 11.6% (fifth-best) and Davis to third in the NBA in assists out of the post that now having the Lakers making a living at the rim in untraditional fashion?

How has AD triggered their early offense to swarm their opposition before knowing what hit them that has transformed him from a reactive to proactive passer resulting in the Lakers now averaging 1.115 points per possession - a season high.

Here's a detailed analysis of why the Los Angeles Lakers could potentially win the 2024 NBA championship:
Talent Acquisition: The Lakers have managed to secure top-tier talent through strategic trades, free agency signings, and draft picks. They boast a roster that includes established stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis, complemented by emerging young talents acquired through savvy drafting and player development.
Experience and Leadership: LeBron James, a veteran with multiple NBA championships under his belt, provides invaluable leadership both on and off the court. His experience in navigating high-pressure situations and guiding his teammates through the rigors of the playoffs is unmatched. Anthony Davis also brings playoff experience and a desire to solidify his legacy as one of the league's premier players.
Coaching Stability: The Lakers have maintained stability in their coaching staff, with a seasoned head coach who understands the intricacies of playoff basketball. The coaching staff has demonstrated the ability to make strategic adjustments, optimize player rotations, and instill a winning culture within the team.
Chemistry and Cohesion: Despite having a roster filled with star players, the Lakers have cultivated a strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork. The players have bought into the team-first mentality advocated by the coaching staff, resulting in seamless on-court chemistry and a shared commitment to achieving their ultimate goal.
Defensive Prowess: The Lakers prioritize defense and have built a roster capable of stifling opposing offenses. With elite defenders like Anthony Davis anchoring the paint and perimeter defenders who can lock down opponents, they possess the defensive versatility needed to shut down even the most potent offenses in the league.
Offensive Versatility: Offensively, the Lakers boast a multifaceted attack that can adapt to various defensive schemes. Whether it's LeBron James orchestrating the offense, Anthony Davis dominating in the post, or sharpshooters spacing the floor, they have the firepower to score efficiently from all areas of the court.
Depth and Bench Production: The Lakers have assembled a deep bench filled with role players who can step up and contribute when called upon. Whether it's providing scoring punch, defensive intensity, or energy off the bench, their reserves provide valuable support and allow the team to maintain a high level of play throughout the game.
Health and Injury Prevention: The Lakers have prioritized player health and implemented strategies to minimize the risk of injuries. With a combination of advanced sports science, conditioning programs, and careful load management, they aim to keep their key players healthy and fresh for the grueling playoff push.
Playoff Experience: Many of the Lakers' key players have extensive playoff experience, having been through numerous postseason battles. They understand the intensity and pressure of playoff basketball and are better equipped to handle the challenges that come with competing for an NBA championship.
Motivation and Hunger for Success: After experiencing setbacks and falling short of their championship aspirations in previous seasons, the Lakers are driven by a collective hunger to reclaim their status as NBA champions. They are highly motivated to prove themselves on the biggest stage and are willing to put in the work necessary to achieve their ultimate goal.
By combining talent, experience, coaching, chemistry, and a relentless pursuit of success, the Los Angeles Lakers have positioned themselves as strong contenders for the 2024 NBA championship. If they can stay healthy, maintain their focus, and execute their game plan effectively, they have a legitimate chance of hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy at the end of the season. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Long story short, has AD’s rising confidence of being a proactive passer from the post (something that LBJ has commented on several times at post-game interviews) because he is recognizing opposing teams” defensive schemes and the counters much quicker at the pace Ham wants

On Point Observations
Team’s methodology of limiting serious injuries seems to be working with AD/LBJ. Hopefully our team’s depth will result in a win despite LBJ, CWood, Vanderbilt and Vincent out - along with Christie and Reddish questionable
Looking forward to seeing how Rui, Dinwiddie, DLo, AR and Hayes will respond
Will be inteeesting to see how the team will compensate for Prince’s inability/inconsistency as being the “Head of the Snake on offense (ouch!!!!!), getting rebounds, not moving/cutting on offense and questionable shooting.
All things considered, the Lakers have an excellent chance to win it all this year.
If by excellent you mean less than a 5% chance unless they can get to at least the 5th seed, then yea...
I haven’t considered seeding much. Currently, they’d be playing Minnesota or OKC in the first round and moving up to 5th would get them Denver. Too early to tell since all of these pieces could move around significantly before then but right now a lower seed would be advantageous. I see the Clippers and Nuggets as the two main roadblocks to getting out of the west. I’d be very confident in the Lakers against anyone else.

Those are just historical percentages based on seeds lower than 5th. We could say they are better than the average 6-8 seeds in NBA past, but are we really?
Imagine having to make it out of the play in, then having to beat 3 of the teams below on the road. It's a daunting task if the homer glasses are off. Then you would need to beat the East's best on the road.

Historically speaking, in the Playoffs
* Clips - Harden fades and Kwahi/PG get injured or something else happens
* Suns - Will they play enough defense
* TWolves - Will their playoff inexperience rear its ugly head
* OKC - Same factors as the TWolves, but this team will be ecstatic to go deep into the playoffs
* Nuggets - Joker is a Bad Man, but will their bench hold up
With AD/LBJ, we are well-prepared to win on the road. Last year - Rui, DLo, Cam, Christie and AR got playoff experience. Dinwiddie brings experiende and leadership. Hopefully our injured players (Vanderbilt, Vincent and Cam will bring the D they are known for that will make Joker, Kwahi/PG, Ant Man/Towns, Shai and Luka/Kyrie work very hard on both sides of the court
With the above-listed teams battling each other, good chance to move up
Lakers should greatly value playing against the teams in front of them because every win against these teams actually mean the bottom line is that it translate into the playoff positioning battles

It won’t be easy for anyone to win it all but I have the Nuggets, Clippers, Celtics, and Lakers as the teams who have a realistic shot. Complete teams who have stars who have been there before.
Every once in a while a random team wins it but the teams like OKC, Minnesota, etc are those teams who can do well in the regular season but have to play near perfect to advance because their best players aren’t going to get calls in the playoffs.
Dallas to me has changed their forecast since acquiring P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford, they have a good shot to make a run they have all the tools to make noise in the playoffs

The Lakers don't have an excellent chance of winning the NBA championship, but if they keep this momentum going the rest of the way, the only teams I feel they can't beat in the playoffs are the Nuggets, Celtics and maybe the Bucks. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

We've been up and down all season. We're better than 500 basketball but not by much. We can beat Warriors in the play-in game but i wouldn't want to be in single elimination game against them or anyone for that matter. Our offense has been better but if we aren't amazing on offense we struggle because the defense is terrible. Vanderbilt back can help but I don't consider us serious threat in playoffs. Too many poor defenders, not enough length or strength. Davis is the one that has to do everything on defense. Not a recipe for success. I saw Hayes get pushed off the block by a guard. Wood is poor defensively, and so are Prince, Russell and Reaves. Lebron can play defense in spurts.

Our ceiling for this season is Play-in. We not sniffing the 6th seed with a terrible coach, a part time LeBron, and not to mention unexpected injuries.

it is revealing that our injured players are the ones that provide defense, energy and/or defense.
Pieces fit as a whole but strong or talented enough to win games separately
Vanderbilt - Brings energy and defense that puts a spark/charge into the other players in a Draymond meets PatBev type player that will embarrass other players if they don’t match his energy
Vincent - His “Heat Culture” mentality and experience should result in more tenacious play while playing great D
CWood - Provides length and an offensive threat that allows AD to rest
Rui - As a player, he is great every 4th or 5th game. He has the physical skills but not even close to understanding the Black Mamba Mentality.
Prince - We need others to play opposing team’s starting/closing lineups so that he can be effective playing against bench players/subs.
Windidsle has the potential, skillset, experience and success to provided needed shooting and length
It's all match up dependent. Lakers should be praying for the Kings, Pels or Thunder in the postseason. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy. Respect The Chair.
