Oddly, I wasn’t a huge fan of his standup routine (didn’t hate it either, it just wasn’t a wow thing for me), but absolutely loved him in interviews or other off the cuff moments. Very funny naturally and seemed to be a decent guy to be around too.
I felt that way to start but the more and more I watched him on interviews and running the talk show circuit his delivery and cadence really grew on me. Guy is like that cool, goofy uncle. _________________ KOBE

Yeah I'm pretty much with you here. He was one of the better talk show guests you could ever find. Just a naturally funny person. I didn't like everything he did, but he was unique, that's for sure, and he had enormous respect from his peers. Other comics will tell you that Norm was one of the true greats.

I don't know if there is another 10 minute segment of anything that has me breathless wheezing throughout it...it does not ever get any less funny.
tragedy: Norm (who died of cancer) makes Larry King (who had cancer) read a joke about Chadwick Boseman, who died of cancer. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
