Max or Vando tbh. That makes 3 of the 4 starters 40% three point shooters, and the other is a cutter to the basket, slasher and elite defender that can hit the corner three. And then you got AD.
What Christie needs, more than more opportunity is to get the same plays that Reddish and Prince got ran for them that got them open threes.
He's elite at spot up shooting and the Lakers should take more advantage of it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

If Vando's offensive evolution is real that would an interesting lineup. A fully realized Max does seem like a more seamless fit but Vando's defense is elite whereas Max projects to be above average on both ends, potentially even better as a shooter. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

He’s starting to rebound more and use his size on offense.
I’ve been on here all year saying he should’ve been starting over Prince.
Glad he’s settling into a role. |

Bron and Handy had really done some wonders on his game... He's starting to take people off the dribble more and adding spin moves on top of learning how to use his body. |

He still has a lot to learn and room to grow. However, he is very useful in a number of situations. He had some clutch plays in the last game, that offensive rebound he had when we were already down 3 was huge. His layup in traffic was fantastic.
His rebounding is good when Lebron is out. I wonder how much of that is positioning, his role, and just his own personal expectations when playing along with Lebron vs playing without him. Would like to see more improvement from him defensively, I think that will come with more experience and time. |

What a game by Rui!
32 points on 11-of-14 (career high seven 3s) and 10 rebounds. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Much needed offense in AD's absence. |

Lakers are 20-10 since RUI started…..
It’s not hard to see why, bigger body on defense, grabs rebounds, and when Ad switches out, he can take their bigger roll man, him and LBJ can switch around.
On offense, another guy you can’t leave open, he can attack inside and make open shots.
Rui is not perfect, he struggles against quicker 3s |

Still so pissed he spent half the season getting 20 minutes a game. Insanity. _________________ KOBE |

Ham should be fired for handicapping us the first half of the season by treating Rui like a garbage time player |

The argument I heard was that they were unsure Rui could be consistent unlike Prince.
I actually believe that to be true, but he still should have started..he doesn't need to be consistent with other scorers on the court like LBJ/AD. Unlike Prince, he is more multidimensional he can drive to the basket, shoot 3s, and his midrange is killer. None of the other starters have midrange game like him so he makes the starting lineup more complete.
Plus with the size of LBJ/AD/Rui, you likely are going to have a size mismatch somewhere that you can go to for points when the offense is cold from deep. |

I think the thing that makes the most sense is what I read (can't remember where) -- the coaching staff wanted him to do the little things and he wasn't. Rui is young and still moldable and needs to develop good habits. Obviously his shot making was huge but so were his 10 rbds and 2 blocks |

The only thing Prince was consistent at was being a net negative everytime he played.
Him playing 30 minutes a game for half the season is what screwed our place in the standings |

When Vando got hurt... He should have been the penciled in starter to start the season.
-Huge playoffs run
-Worked with Lebron/Handy all offseason
-Got paid to be a major contributor
It would have been more understandable if Ham just started him then he flamed out then benched him for TP... But he was in the dog house from the jump for no apparent reason. |

Because Ham had a prior relationship with TP |

I’ll admit I didn’t think we’d look as good as we do with Rui in the starting lineup, man is killing it and has really helped us become an all-out offense _________________ #18 next... |
