One of the things I admire most about him, and this has been true for the 20+ years I have been interacting him--he won't take it easy on you just because you're his friend if he disagrees with you, or if he thinks you're full of (bleep). He'll come right out front. Afterwards, he won't hold it against you unless you are a dead-set ahole.
